First the Colbert Report. Now the world.

Last night Anita Sarkeesian and Brianna Wu appeared on Nightline to discuss the impact Gamergate has had on their lives and to reiterate the harmful influence that sexist tropes in video games can have on women in the real world. Heads up that we hear from a male gamer sharing some pretty frustrating “Not all Gamergaters!” rhetoric near the end of the segment, but it’s still exciting to see Wu and Sarkeesian get more attention in the mainstream media for their work.

Hopefully the more that shows like Nightline or The Colbert Report expose and condemn misogyny in the video game community, the faster we can all get back to playing, analyzing, and creating games with the help and support of these awesome ladies.
