Britain’s Sunday Times reported last week that Mark Hamill had nearly fallen to his death while climbing a mountain during the filming of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but today, Hamill quashed that story via his Twitter:
Fabricated stories usually contain a seed of truth. Didn’t so much as stub a toe on Skellig Michael. But thanks for your concern! #FalseNews

This story is completely untrue. Don’t know how this story got started, but filming went splendidly, thanks. https://t.co/xwoliRV51L — Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) September 17, 2015
The only person credited in the original story was an unnamed eyewitness — not Hamill or the tour guide who allegedly helped him from falling. Sounds like the Irish are having a bit of fun with their celebrity guests …
Enjoying? Ireland is simply heaven on earth! The people here treat you like family. https://t.co/ablGHoMmjr

In the sense that family members like to mess with each other, yes. Definitely.
