Man asks gas station employee if he can crash on her couch. She refused, so he went for their customer: ‘Y’all are nasty!’
She told him no, so he set his sights on her customer instead.
Lex (@lexnavah) was working at a local gas station when an unhoused man went up to her with a strange request. After denying him, he allegedly went after another customer.
“I witnessed the most insane thing today. When I tell y’all, I’m still flabbergasted,” Lex told TikTok. She works at a gas station, and during her shift, a young Black man came to the checkout counter.
“Can I ask you a question? I’m not trying to be rude,” the man allegedly told Lex. She said she ignored him initially since she didn’t want to hear him say something potentially offensive. Even a small retail interaction can result in an unwanted interaction. After this New York City man refused to tip his cashier, the manager decided to confront him. Regardless, Lex finally spoke up when the unhoused man repeated his question.
“You know, my people, my parents just kicked me out the other day, and I was thinking we could get to know each other, and I can sleep on your couch,” the man allegedly told Lex. She said she felt taken aback by his suggestion, given that he was a stranger. Lex refused him, saying that she lives with her parents.
“He keeps, like, repeating himself,” Lex alleged. The man insisted that they could get to know each other and that they didn’t have to be strangers. She continued, “He’s kind of pressing it for a little bit, and I’m like, sir, no.” Lex eventually goes on break, and the man dropped the subject. At least she wasn’t as bothered as this tattoo artist who had to stop an allegedly drunken man from entering her studio. However, a few days later, she would spot the man in the gas station. But this time, he allegedly switched targets.
A ‘nasty’ interaction near the gas station
Lex said a white woman, who was somewhere in her 30s or 40s, pulled over. “She’s an older white lady, but you could tell she’s one of them white ladies who try to look young,” Lex commented. Regardless, she asked Lex for help with the gas.
“She’s trying to make sure she’s putting up enough on her tank,” Lex explained. She was going to another nearby city, and Lex revealed it was an hour-and-a-half drive. The lady decided to put $7 into gas. Then the same man who had approached Lex a few days before approached the lady.
“He’s whispering something to her ear as she’s pumping gas, and you know I’m witnessing this,” Lex said. She and her manager started watching. They assumed that the man was also asking their customer if he could sleep on her couch, the same way he asked Lex a few days ago. They thought she would refuse, but then they saw the man walk up to their customer’s passenger side.
“We alert ’cause we hope nothing bad was about to happen,” Lex said as they kept watching. The man got in her car, and the woman didn’t stop him. Lex thought that the woman planned to drop the stranger off somewhere, but she still decided to get the woman’s plate number in case of an emergency. The woman drove off, but Lex alleged that she circled around and parked in a blind spot at the corner of the building.
“She turned her car off. They were in there for a good 20 or 30 minutes,” Lex alleged. When the man exited the car, Lex said his pants were unbuckled. She commented, “They was doing the nasty in the parking lot. She had just met this man.”
“I hope they see this video, because y’all are nasty,” Lex added. It seems her customer and the random man at the gas station had better chemistry than this woman and her date, who sent her on an odd quest in New York City.
