Influencer pays for front-row tickets to ‘Wicked’ on Broadway, then she climbs onto the stage to do a handstand: ‘I saw the opportunity and I took it’
A theater vlogger alleges a stage manager told the group to leave, and the influencer responded that she waited until the show was over.

An influencer says she bought front-row Wicked tickets, waited until the show ended and then went onto the stage at the Gershwin Theatre in New York for photos. According to BroadwayWorld, a theater vlogger criticized the behavior in a “theater PSA” on Instagram. The vlogger’s post stated that an audience member noticed someone stay behind after the musical finished and go onstage for a photoshoot.
The post alleges a production stage manager approached the group and told them to get off the stage and leave the building. It also alleges they put their things on the divider that sits between the audience and the orchestra pit. The vlogger called the behavior “grotesquely tacky and entitled.”
The influencer answered through her own Instagram Story. “Calling someone ‘disgusting and grotesque’ over a SELFIE acting like I’m at CHURCH disrespecting GOD is insane!” she wrote. “I paid for FRONT ROW tickets and waited till it was OVER! I saw the opportunity and took it.”
She posted the photos from the stage
She then posted selfies from the stage, and one appears to show her in a handstand. A second image shows her on a broom. The report states it is unclear whether the images were edited or enhanced with artificial intelligence. Another Story post shows her posing with friends at the theater. “Some ppl can’t help but mind their business! Stop watching us WATCH THE SHOW!” she wrote. She added, “We had a great time. I’m gonna frame the pics stay mad!!!”
According to Entertainment Weekly, a fan filmed the stage visit and the vlogger reshared the clip. The vlogger could not confirm who appeared in it. The influencer later identified herself by posting the onstage photos. The report also states the venue’s website lists many safety rules, though nothing in its public policies directly bars guests from climbing onstage.
In her video, the vlogger told followers there is “no circumstance under which this is acceptable behavior.” She added that “you can’t just climb onto a Broadway stage whenever you feel like it.” The vlogger responded in a follow-up video. She stated she was criticizing the behavior rather than the person. Buying front-row seats, she added, “does not entitle you to disrespect the space.”
She likened it to a restaurant diner who is not allowed to cook in the kitchen. “It’s a working piece of machinery, it’s dangerous,” she stated of the stage. She estimated the venue could be responsible for any injuries. All details come from the vlogger’s posts and the influencer’s Stories and could not be verified independently.
Theater etiquette has come up in other stories. A television actor making her Broadway debut asked audiences not to talk to performers during shows unless invited. Another story covered the etiquette trailer before Wicked screenings at AMC theaters.
The Gershwin Theatre’s page on Broadway Direct, the Nederlander Organization’s ticket seller, lists rules on smoking, outside food, unattended bags and noise-making devices. It has no rule about the stage. Wicked has been running at the Gershwin since 2003. Representatives for the show did not immediately respond to requests for comment, and the influencer did not respond to one either.
