‘Get back in the Uber’: Louisiana woman went to a hidden bar with two strangers. The next morning, the building had completely disappeared

Urban legend?

It’s one of those stories that makes you stop scrolling and actually pay attention. A woman named Jazmine recently shared a wild account of visiting a hidden, old-fashioned bar in Louisiana, only to find the building completely gone the very next morning. The story was featured in a video by Ashlee, @ashleeinc on TikTok, known for her many Spooky Scary Storytimes.

Since being posted in early January 2026, the video has racked up massive engagement, pulling in about 7.5 million views and around 8,000 comments from people trying to piece together the mystery. Ashlee says Jazmine’s experience started during a work trip to Baton Rouge. She was traveling with a coworker, and after finishing their work for the day, they decided to grab drinks at a brewery.

While there, they met two well-dressed young men who seemed polite and had strong Southern manners. The men were wearing suspenders and old-fashioned hats, which immediately set them apart from the typical crowd. When the men suggested taking them to a locals-only spot, Jazmine was hesitant, but her coworker was eager to go.

They eventually piled into a car and drove away from the city lights

As they moved into more rural territory, the trees thinned out and the landscape became more open. After about 20 minutes of driving, they pulled up to an unassuming, standalone wooden building. There was no clear signage, and the only landmark was a feed store located right across the street.

This is Jazmine’s spooky scary storytime submission about going to a “locals only” bar with her coworker at the suggestion of two guys they met while on a work trip. When they went back the next night, it was gone. Got a creepy or unbelievable story you’ve been too afraid to share? Send it my way – we’d love to hear it! #story

When Jazmine and her co-worker walked inside, it felt like stepping back in time. The bar was dimly lit and filled with smoke, with no TVs or modern phones in sight. The patrons were dressed in long dresses, pleated skirts, button-up blouses, and flat caps.

The atmosphere was intense, and the bartender didn’t even recognize common modern drinks like a Captain and Coke. Instead, he served them Sazeracs. The men who brought them paid entirely in cash, and when Jazmine later asked for a phone number, one of the men claimed he didn’t even have a phone. Feeling increasingly uneasy and after a quick text to her boyfriend, Jazmine insisted they leave. They eventually called an Uber to get back to their hotel.

The next morning, the reality of the situation took a strange turn

The coworker realized she had left a work item at the bar and needed to retrieve it. They pulled up their Uber history to navigate back to the exact location. The driver was confused, noting that he didn’t know of any bars in that area, but he drove them back anyway.

When the two women arrived, the feed store was still there, but the wooden building that had housed the bar was completely gone. The driver confirmed that the app’s location history was accurate, yet there was nothing but open fields and a few houses in sight.

The story sparked a massive conversation on TikTok. Some commenters suggested the location might be tied to local legends about vampire bars, while others pointed to the idea of pop-up events that use existing empty buildings to host temporary, themed nights. One user noted that these types of experiences are sometimes referred to as card shuffling in local folklore.

Others, however, were just as baffled as Jazmine and Ashlee too. The total absence of the building the next day remains the core of the mystery, leaving many to wonder if they encountered a glitch in the matrix or a very elaborate, temporary setup. Many comments also mentioned how such stories are common in Louisiana.

Ashlee is known for her spooky narrations of submitted stories

Ashlee @ashleeinc, who has built a following of 2.1 million by sharing these kinds of listener-submitted accounts, frames these stories as entertainment rather than proven fact. She emphasizes that these narratives are unverified, but they serve as a perfect example of why the Spooky Scary Storytime series resonates with so many people. It’s not just about the creep factor. It’s about the community discussion and the shared fascination with the unexplained.

Whether it’s a case of a sophisticated pop-up event or something more mysterious, the story highlights the disorientation that can come with visiting unfamiliar, insular settings. It’s a reminder to stay aware of your surroundings, especially when you’re traveling in new territory.

For now, the mystery of the disappearing Louisiana bar remains unsolved. If you’ve ever had a similar experience, it’s clear you’re not alone, as thousands of viewers continue to debate the details in the comments. It’s the kind of urban legend that keeps the spirit of storytelling alive in our digital world.
