Billie Eilish as Bieber’s Last ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ Breaks the Internet

Justin Bieber fulfills Billie Eilish's fangirl dreams at Coachella

Billie Eilish lived every Belieber’s dream for a few minutes after being chosen by Justin Bieber as his ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ at Coachella. Eilish, a Grammy-winning songstress, was in tears after the experience.

Bieber’s Coachella set was a blast from the past. It’s not a YouTube playlist on replay this time around—Bieber was performing on stage, bringing artist collabs, and interacting with fans. As per tradition, Bieber used to pick a girl from the crowd during his concerts as his ‘One Less Lonely Girl’—someone he’d dedicate the song to on stage.

Everyone expected Hailey Bieber—the singer’s wife—to be that girl for this concert. Because in reality, she really is that girl—because Hailey was also a fangirl of Justin. When she got together with Justin Bieber, social media rejoiced because she was a fan who got to marry her idol. But surprisingly, Hailey Bieber gave way to Billie Eilish and even pushed her up on stage.

From one fan to another, it seems like Hailey Bieber also wanted Billie Eilish to have her moment. Other fans of Bieber also spared his wife some love. Hailey was dubbed by the internet a “girl’s girl” for helping Billie Eilish’s childhood dream come true.

It’s a pleasant surprise that had Eilish weak in the knees—literally. Videos of Billie Eilish collapsing in disbelief, only to be helped up by Justin Bieber flooded the internet. It’s a raw moment, and at that moment, she wasn’t Billie Eilish—the superstar. She was Billie Eilish—the Belieber.

Eilish would later post about herself crying over the experience on her Instagram. Fans joked that this moment probably mattered more to her than her Grammy Awards.

A full-circle moment for Billie Eilish, the fangirl

Fans of Eilish knew that she’s been a big fan of Bieber ever since she was a child. As a twelve-year-old, she was already crying over Bieber.

“Because I’m worried that when I get a boyfriend, I won’t want to be with him because I actually love Justin Bieber more,” said a younger Eilish. The video resurfaced online and is going viral. Needless to say, Eilish is a certified Belieber. If her crying over Bieber doesn’t convince anyone that she’s a fan? There have been many interviews throughout the years where Eilish expressed her admiration for Bieber.

An interview with Female Virals also had Billie Eilish talking about Bieber and fame. She said, “The only time I really was like, ‘I want to be famous,’ I only wanted to be famous so I could get closer to Justin Bieber… If I got famous, then I would be closer to meeting him.”

But Bieber would become more than just a celebrity crush to Eilish.

In her 2019 Vanity Fair interview, Eilish was stunned that Justin and Hailey Bieber watched her set. She said at the time, “Luckily I didn’t see them, because if I had seen them, I would’ve lost my shit.” And true enough, she did lose it when she met Bieber off-stage at Coachella 2019. The meeting went viral, but that meeting wouldn’t be their last.

In 2020, Eilish revealed that Justin Bieber has shown her a lot of support in her career, proving to be a type of mentor to her. In later interviews, Billie Eilish also became friends with Bieber. Before the viral Coachella moment, Billie Eilish already had her wishes come true and so much more. But it’s definitely a full-circle moment for Eilish, who’s still a fangirl at heart.
