Amazon Prime can seem too good to be real. Sometimes, it actually is.

While most Amazon deliveries go off without a hitch, there are occasionally significant issues that can cause one to rethink ever ordering from the site. For example, some customers have reported receiving used items sold as new. In more dramatic cases, customers have reported everything from delivery drivers running over their pets to them falsely marking packages as “undeliverable” in order to avoid making deliveries.

One woman’s recent experience with an Amazon delivery driver went so poorly that it resulted in her calling the police—and a cleaning crew being hired.

What Went Wrong With This Amazon Delivery?

In a video with over 7.7 million views, TikTok user Eve Hoppe (@evehoppe) shows Ring camera footage of an Amazon driver making a delivery.

After he drops off the package, he walks down the stairs. Then, he unzips his fly—and urinates all over the floor of Hoppe’s building.

“Amazon really said ‘special delivery,’” she writes in the video overlay text.

What Happened Next?

In a follow-up video, Hoppe recounts what happened after she discovered the driver’s actions.

First, she says she immediately reported the issue to Amazon. Then, her mother reached out to the police. The police asked for her Ring camera footage; Hoppe obliged. In response, the police said they were going to “go look for” the man.

“I don’t really know what his plan was—like, if he was gonna arrest him, just talk to him,” she says. “I don’t know the details of that, but he definitely is getting fired.”

For Amazon’s part, Hoppe says that they gave her a gift card for the approximate value of her order. She states in a comment that this was equivalent to around $22.

Amazon also sent cleaners to scrub and sanitize the carpet.

“So, everything is all good,” Hoppe summarizes.

Has This Happened Before?

There are a surprising number of cases of Amazon drivers being caught urinating on customer property.

In June 2024, an Amazon driver was caught peeing on a customer’s porch mid-delivery. Then, in September 2024, a California couple filmed what appeared to be an Amazon driver urinating on their car. Later, in May 2025, an Amazon driver urinated and defecated on two different properties in the Los Angeles area.

Why does this happen? It’s uncertain, but several drivers have alleged that they are not given enough time to use the bathroom and complete their route.

According to a November 2024 piece in LAist, one worker alleged that peeing in bottles was “incredibly common” amongst Amazon drivers. While drivers are given 15-minute breaks to use the bathroom, some report difficulty finding a restroom within this amount of time, or feeling the need to use the time to decompress rather than locate and use a toilet. Others claim that they were unable to use the 15-breaks altogether due to the demands of the job.

A Reddit thread on the topic contained multiple drivers suggesting that drivers collect large cups in order to relieve themselves.

Commenters Are Disgusted

In the comments section, users said they couldn’t believe their eyes.

“He definitely thought he was out of view of the camera,” said a user.

“This is why you should take your shoes off when you enter your home,” added another.

“I OPEN THESE PACKAGES WITH MY TEETH SOMETIMES. End of an era for me,” declared a third.

However, some countered that such behavior wasn’t particularly unexpected given the demands of the job.

“That’s insane, but not surprised. my bf worked for amazon delivery and the amount of packages a day they expect you to deliver with little to no break time,” detailed a commenter. “bc of the camera in the car and constant check in rates he barely had time to eat and or even go to the bathroom with the possibility of him being ‘behind’ if he did.”

“y not just put a toilet on Amazon’s vans… like forcing people to hold it in should be a crime,” stated a further TikToker. “shame.”
