Woman Falls Asleep During United Airlines Flight, Then an Attendant Pulls Her Bag From in Between Her Legs and Spills Her Tea: ‘Tears Are Coming Out’

A woman is voicing her complaints against United Airlines in a video. On her TikTok account, @cactustate (Cactus Tate), a comedian by profession, shared her experience flying with United Airlines. While sitting at the airport, Tate mentions in her video that she was so upset by what United Airlines did to her that she had “literal” tears streaming down her face.
She exclaimed, “They had me so f***** up” before adding that she knows her experience was not “that serious” and she was being “dramatic.” In her video, Tate says she fell asleep in row 8A on the United Airlines flight with no seats in front of her. She mentions she slept with her backpack between her legs, though she admits she shouldn’t have and should have put it in the overhead bin.
However, she added that if airline staff had advised her to do so, she would have followed their advice. Speaking of United Airlines, an LA woman received a “semi-refund” for a flight to Orlando after it was delayed multiple times.
Tate’s experience with United Airlines had her crying with anger
Tate then explains that instead of asking her to put her bag in the overhead bin, United Airlines staff took her bag from between her legs while she was asleep and placed it above her without removing the tea on the side of her bag. As a result, the tea spilled all over her laptop, headphones, wallet, vape, and most heartbreakingly, her joke book. Tate shares that her joke book got drenched in tea and was the thing that brought her to “actual tears” and made her struggle.
Sarcastically commenting on her situation, Tate said, “It’s fine. I can get another one. It’s not like all my best work is in there and my whole life story and everything brilliant I’ve ever written in that book. It’s not like that. It’s not like that book is my whole life. I’ll get, I’ll get another one.” She then highlights that what angered her most was that United Airlines staff refused to take responsibility and simply told her there was nothing they could do.
In the final part of her video, Tate mentions that United Airlines didn’t even give her a plastic bag to put her dripping backpack inside. She concludes by saying, “United, You got a special place in hell for ruining my joke book… I don’t even care about my computer. You f****** up my joke book!”
People in the comments section are urging Tate to file a complaint
Tate’s video about her experiences with United Airlines has gone viral on TikTok. As of this writing, her video has over two million views. It also has thousands of likes, comments, shares, and saves, showing its popularity on the platform.
Airlines keep having issues with customers, but this one is one of the worst. In the comments, some people are encouraging Tate to file a complaint against the airline for mishandling her luggage and causing damage. User @jenniferosmund wrote, “Oh hell no… United owes you another laptop. Back pack and compensation. I would elevate this to corporate and harrass them until they do something about it. She had no right to touch your stuff.”
User @jackiessmile said, “They need to pay for it. File a claim.” Some flight attendants also commented on her post. User @nebula.x7 said, “Flight attendant here absolutely not ok to move or touch your bag without permission get all the money from them girl!” User @leah_olea16 added, “As a flight attendant I promise this is NOT OKAY and grabbing other people’s bags without permission is literally against our job description. So sorry this happened to you!”
