Amazon Delivery Driver Lashes Out at ‘Nice’ Gardener Over Sidewalk Space, Then Claims His Toes Were Nearly Cut Off: ‘Be Professional!’

Working as an Amazon delivery driver is not easy. Aside from handling heavy packages and customers, they also have to deal with harsh working conditions. With such a strenuous job, frustrations can easily build up. But for one driver, his frustration turned into an outburst directed at a gardener after he allegedly almost had his toes cut off by a lawnmower while on the pathway.
The incident was captured on a Ring camera and shared by TikTok user @isa_xo24. In the footage recorded on Aug. 12, an Amazon delivery driver can be seen leaving a package at the front door before returning to his truck. The gardener, whom isa_xo24 identified as Mr. Herbert, can also be seen heading towards the driver with a lawnmower.
The seemingly mundane day soon escalated when the delivery driver shifted slightly to his right to sidestep Mr. Herbert and the lawnmower, which occupied half of the path while he mowed the grass’ edges. As the delivery driver passed Mr. Herbert, whom isa_xo24 described as “such a nice man,” he can be seen throwing up his arms, seemingly in disbelief at the gardener.
Amazon delivery driver goes on tirade about professionalism
The delivery driver nearly made it back to his truck before he turned back around, yelled at him, then threw his arms up again to supposedly catch Mr. Herbert’s attention. What was initially said by the delivery driver couldn’t be heard over the sound of the lawnmower, but when Mr. Herbert turned his lawnmower off, the delivery driver continued screaming.
“Don’t take up the whole f****** sidewalk and run me over with a lawnmower!” the delivery driver can be heard saying before claiming the lawnmower’s blade could have “cut my toes off.” He continued yelling, saying, “Are you kidding me? What are you doing? You are a professional, right?” Mr. Herbert seemingly tried to explain, but was cut off by the delivery driver’s yelling. “You are a professional! Be professional!” the delivery driver said before the video ended.
In a second video shared by isa_xo24, the delivery driver returned to the front door and rang the doorbell before accusing Mr. Herbert of assault for trying to “run me over” and urged the homeowner to fire the gardener. He then turned his attention back to Mr. Herbert and allegedly threatened to call the police on him.

Viewers were left astonished by the turn of events in what should have been a normal delivery. “Talking about ‘be professional’ and he’s the one yelling and cursing,” one viewer said. “This has me heated. I want to call Amazon on behalf of Mr Herbert!” another viewer said. Some even brought up the possibility the incident was race-motivated. “That was just a racist moment of him, he wanted to assert his white privilege,” the viewer claimed.
Other viewers also urged isa_xo24 to secure her house in case the delivery driver returned in retaliation. “Just be careful if he ends up getting fired…. Definitely make sure all your cameras are working in case he comes back to take it out on you….,” the viewer said. This isn’t the first time an Amazon delivery driver drew flak. In another case, a driver was reportedly fired for ruining a home’s front lawn.
Viewers also asked about Mr. Herbert following the ordeal. According to isa_xo24, the gardener was “nonchalant” and just continued working in the garden. “He had no idea this dude was crashing out at the door and cursing him out!” No further update had been given on whether a report to Amazon was made.
