Woman Moves Into Her New Home in Antioch, Only to Find Herself Constantly ‘Racially Harassed’ by Neighbor: ‘Obtain a Restraining Order’
A woman captured the heated moment.

Moving into a new house that you purchased is a milestone that should be celebrated. But for one woman, moving into her new home seemingly brought the ire of her neighbor. A video shared by Jamal Doman (@jamaldoman) on Instagram captured the heated moment when a man allegedly racially harassed a Black woman and hurled expletives.
According to Doman’s post, the incident occurred around Aug. 17 in Antioch, California. He claimed that a Black woman had recently moved to the predominantly Hispanic city, but has since been “constantly racially harassed” by her neighbor, allegedly prompting the woman to file a restraining order against the man. However, the restraining order supposedly did little to curb the violence.
In Doman’s video, a shirtless man can be seen yelling at the person filming, allegedly mocking the woman for her piercings and tattoos before saying racial slurs. “This Black b**** thinks she’s some f****** lawyer. Like all you monkeys, you think you’re lawyers,” the man yelled.

The man continued to yell expletives while the woman did not verbally respond during the incident. The man allegedly spewed the N-word around 21 times and repeatedly gave the woman the middle finger and stuck his tongue out.
The man can also be heard talking about a judge and claimed he wasn’t saying or doing anything illegal. “Go ahead. Show the judge. N***** ain’t illegal, b****. […] You and your Black boyfriend, n******,” the man yelled, before telling her to “cry harder” for coming to live in a “white neighborhood.” A similar incident occurred when a Black man was allegedly harassed by a white woman for simply using a pool in their community. The post itself says she’s trying to “obtain a restraining order”
While the First Amendment generally protects speech that can be considered rude and deeply offensive, its protection is forfeited when the speech itself incites violence, unlawful actions, or poses a true threat. Hate speech may also lose its protection if it falls under the legal benchmark for obscenity and harassment.
It’s not the first time a neighbor was seemingly racist, with one woman claiming to have also received a racist letter from her neighbor. Viewers were appalled, yet seemingly not shocked by the racial slurs hurled against the woman. “Actually it’s a hate crime…,” a comment read. “He thinks he’s white,” another said. Some even offered to help the woman deal with the man, saying, “When is her house warming party/cookout so WE can PULL UP.”
As of writing, the Antioch Police Department had been made aware of the situation and had begun investigating the matter. However, they urged citizens to refrain from taking any actions—such as harassing, threatening, or confronting anyone—that could impede the investigation.
