Woman Was Trying to Rescue Baby Squirrels at a Gas Station. Then Tells a Sheriff She Was Going to Show Him Her Boobs: ‘I Want to Apologize’
Well... that's awkward.

There are times when our mouth speaks way before our brain fully processes what we just said—be it from tiredness, nervousness, or excitement. One woman found herself in such a situation when she accidentally told a sheriff she was going to flash him during her attempt to rescue squirrels at a parking lot.
Stephanie Easley (@stephsayitall) claimed in a video on TikTok that she was contacted by a woman who had discovered a nest of baby squirrels in her boyfriend’s truck. Allegedly, the truck had been parked at the woman’s mother’s house for five days and had to be rehabilitated.
While Easley’s rescue missions focus primarily on dogs, she claimed she was able to help with the squirrels using contacts from past wildlife rescues. According to Easley, she met with the woman at a “very closed gas station” in Minnesota to receive the squirrels.

As Easley and the woman were doing a hand-off of the squirrels, she claimed that a sheriff from Chisago County arrived to seemingly investigate the situation. “I just told a Chisago County sheriff that I was going to show him my boobs,” Easley said. “And I meant it. But I didn’t mean it in that way at all.”
According to Easley, the sheriff had misunderstood her words and was shocked by her declaration. “Now he was like, ‘Oh. No, no, no.’ And then I had to go backwards and explain,” Easley said. While Easley didn’t tell the sheriff that squirrels were suddenly vaping, the officer’s reaction to possibly getting flashed wasn’t unreasonable.
Easley claimed that the initial rescue of the squirrels was a success after they were brought to rehabilitation. But they later found three more baby squirrels hidden in the truck after frantic searching. “[She] had her boyfriend tearing apart his truck to find the screaming baby squirrels, and he finally got [it] apart,’ Easley said.
Easley alleges that the person handling the squirrels’ rehabilitation was asleep and was unable to retrieve the rodents, prompting Easley to take care of them in the rehabber’s stead. “So, I have an incubator. The rehabbers had kinda told me how to do some things just in case we couldn’t find somebody,” Easley said. But until Easley could get access to her incubator, she supposedly decided to place the baby squirrels inside her bra for warmth.
“But of course, instead of just telling the officer, like, ‘Hey, actually we’re doing a wildlife transfer. I’m taking baby squirrels from her and bringing them to a rehabber.’ I go, ‘I’m gonna show you my boobs.’” Easley recalled in the video, while seemingly mortified at remembering the incident.

When asked by a viewer about the sheriff’s reaction upon realizing she had baby squirrels in her bra, Easley said, “I really wish I could tell you, but I was slightly dying inside and didn’t register what the reaction was.” Easley’s reaction is understandable, as hilarious mistakes in front of strangers do tend to leave one feeling embarrassed.
Following the incident, Easley jokingly apologized to both the sheriff and her husband for the mess she found herself in. “So, I just want to apologize to the Chisago County Sheriff and my husband. I didn’t mean it like that, that’s all.”
Viewers on TikTok were amused by the funny mishap. One comment read, “I bet it’s an encounter he’ll never forget.” Another joked that the bra is a “Baby Rewarming Apparatus.” One user who claimed to be an animal rescuer validated Easley’s warming technique: “I do wildlife rescue, and I have done the same thing when in a pinch with nothing to warm them! I’ve even had newly hatched owls tucked into my boobs. LOL. One actually hatched between my boobs during transport! Usually I have an incubator I can plug into my car.”
Per the Wild Again Rescue, baby squirrels cannot regulate their own body temperature, thus needing outside intervention if their mother is not nearby. A baby squirrel can also become dehydrated when they were chilled. While Easley felt embarrassed, her warming attempt may have saved the baby squirrels’ lives.
