Brooklyn Woman’s Toddler Crossed a Property Line. Her Neighbor Threatened Her Son: ‘I’m Going to Hit Him With My Car!’

Not all neighbors are friendly—but there are some who take the attitude to a different extreme. Taylor Sole (@taybsole) just moved into a new home with her husband and kids. When her toddler wandered into the opposite driveway, she didn’t expect her neighbor to start threatening her family.
On TikTok, Sole said that she loved everything about her house and that they’d moved only in December of last year. At first, her neighbors seemed fine—she thought that the husband was friendlier than the wife, but the woman didn’t seem to be unusual either. All in all, Sole and her neighbors had no issues.
That was until Monday, when her one-year-old son ran into her neighbor’s driveway. The driveway was only three feet away from Sole’s property line. Sole tried to call her son to come back, but the toddler thought of it as a game and ran further into the driveway.

That’s when Sole decided to get up and grab her son herself. She noticed that the wife was outside, and Sole apologized for the intrusion. The neighbor looked furious, and she started spewing threats at the mother and child.
“Next time he’s on my property, I’m going to hit him with my car! I’m going to release my dogs on him!” Sole recalled the woman’s words. She also alleged that the woman started calling her names.
She walked back to her property, exchanging words with the woman. And once she was inside the house, she called her husband. Upon hearing what happened, he suggested Sole file a report against the neighbor for threatening their child. The sheriff came in and got her statement, but the neighboring woman left.
The next day, Sole said that the same neighbor started putting up “no trespassing” signs on her property line. Sole chose to mind her business, as she was busy unloading her groceries from the car. But then, Sole said that the woman started threatening her again.
Things escalated when the neighbor allegedly pulled a gun out.
Neighbor pulls out a gun on her
“If you and your kids are on my property again, I’m going to use my Second Amendment right on you guys!” The neighbor said, waving her gun around. Again, Sole went inside the house and told her husband—this time, they resorted to calling 911 on the woman. The situation could get worse now that she has a weapon in hand.
The same sheriff came back and tried talking to the woman. She had left again, but he waited for her to get home. When they spoke, Sole alleged that her neighbor began screaming at the sheriff.
The sheriff told the neighbor that she might get a charge for aggravating and menacing because she waved her gun around.
“She tells him that if they tried to charge her, they need to bring the whole sheriff’s office down and put a bullet through her head because she’s always wanted to go out suicide by cop,” Sole recalled the neighbor’s response. From this, Sole concluded that her neighbor could not be reasoned with.
The sheriff told Sole that she needed to get a civil protective order (CPO) against her neighbor so that if it happens again, the cops could arrest her. Before it could be served, her father-in-law visited, and the neighbor allegedly tried to aggravate him.
She sat on her car horn for at least ten minutes, and Sole got to record it. The CPO was eventually granted, and thankfully, her neighbor’s gun was taken away. But it’s only good for six months, and Sole hopes that she could get it permanently given her neighbor’s unstable temper.
Social media was aghast by Sole’s story, with some commenters advising her to get security cameras. Others suggested that she sue her realtors for failing to disclose the nuisance neighbor. Because of how the situation escalated so quickly, some TikTok users even told Sole to consider moving away.
A home is supposed to be the place people feel the safest at, but with neighbors like hers, the opposite is true.
