A Southwest Airlines flight had a surplus of brides on board. So, the flight crew, alongside the soon-to-be-married women, had a little celebration and practice run onboard.

TikToker Emma Pio (@emmashavingfun) captured the genuine moment and posted it to TikTok. There, the post went viral, receiving more than 517,000 views within less than a week of her uploading it.

Why Were There So Brides On Board Southwest?

Pio, who was seated toward the middle of the plane, pulled her phone out alongside a few other passengers to capture the moment. A flight attendant ushered a number of brides down the aisle, who wore toilet paper veils. Each bride held a small coffee cup as a “bouquet,” which presumably contained a few snacks.

“ All right, everybody. Y’all clap. Don’t they look lovely? They look beautiful. Look at that beautiful bride,” a flight attendant said.

As each bride walked down the aisle, they waved or filmed the encounter themselves before taking their seats toward the back of the plane.

When Did The Brides Have Their Practice Run?

Some commenters assumed that the practice run was done during a delay. After all, the video doesn’t appear to feature any turbulence or signs that the women were standing up in the air.

However, Pio pointed out that the brides took their practice run in the middle of the flight.

“This was done up in the air already en route queen,” she said, while responding to another commenter.

According to some people, this isn’t the first time that Southwest Airlines has had a “bride run” mid-air. Southwest has even had real, bona fide weddings on board. The practice, then, is relatively common and spices up regular trips.

“They did this on my plane and was the only bride…. more anxiety provoking than the real wedding,” one commenter said.

What’s The Top Bachelorette Destination?

A few TikTokers tried to guess where the plane was going, as many of the brides on board were inevitably flying to raging bachelorette parties. Nashville and locations in Florida were top picks, as those locations are also some of the biggest destinations for bachelorette parties.

Escapade.co’s top 10 list of bachelorette spots puts Nashville, Tennessee, in the top spot. After that, the list names Scottsdale, Arizona; New Orleans; and Palm Springs, California.

Southwest’s guess? “What is the over-under on this flight being headed to Nashville?” The airline said in the comments section.

It turned out the plane was headed to Panama City, at least according to Pio.

TikTokers who recognized their friends and family members from the crowd congratulated them on their upcoming wedding, their bachelorette parties, and the opportunity to be restaged in a potential upcoming Madison Humphrey video about the run. Overall, the “practice run” seemed like an excellent segue into their trips, especially considering how unusual it was when compared to an average flight.
