Who Is the ‘Peter Pan Girl?’ and Why Are People Worried About the Disney Character’s Safety?: ‘She Goes to the Park Every Single Week’

A man analyzes a viral TikTok that shows an adult fan engaging with a character at Disneyland in a way that he views as harmful. And he’s not the only one.
TikTok creator Andrew (@mandrewsteinman) posted a video that lays out the entire Disney saga. “OK, so I recently fell down this rabbit hole about this Disney adult,” he says.
Andrew prefaces the story by saying that he doesn’t judge every adult who goes to Disney theme parks. But he does have an issue with a viral video that depicts an adult woman’s interactions with a character playing Peter Pan at Disneyland.
What Happened Between a Disney Adult and An Actor Playing Peter Pan?
“This one Disney adult, she seems to have an obsession with Peter Pan,” Andrew says. “And the clip in particular that I cannot stop thinking about is one where she talks to Peter Pan; it says nine weeks ago.”
The video Andrew is referring to was posted on May 31 by Disney TikToker Toni (@babytoni99). It starts with a clip of a Peter Pan actor at Disneyland who appears to have just been asked what kind of craft Toni should make for him.
“Just his whole body language,” Andrew says. “Everything is so off about the way this actor is talking to this adult woman. It’s almost as if he’s being backed into a corner.”
In the next clip, it is nine weeks later, and Toni is holding a green dinosaur she evidently crocheted for the actor.
“She’s like, ‘I’ve been holding this for nine weeks,’” Andrew says. “Over two months that she’s been hanging onto this green dinosaur that she crocheted for this Peter Pan actor. And then she gives it to him—finally.”
How Does the ‘Peter Pan Girl’ Video End?
And the end of the video, in Andrew’s opinion, is the worst part. That’s when the woman follows the actor all the way to what appears to be the staff area, where he quickly asks for a photo with Toni in what feels like a final goodbye.
“Like I said in the beginning: Disney adults, harmless. Until this. There is a harm here and that’s what I can’t stop thinking about,” Andrew says. “These people sign up for this job knowing that they’re going to get some adults talking to them too. People who take this stuff really seriously. I am autistic. No judgment there.”
He continues by addressing what some are speculating could be a genuine lack of social awareness from Toni.
“I do think that when you’re autistic, if that’s the case, it’s then on you to have that self-awareness of how you bring yourself to public spaces,” Andrew says. “You can have those specialized interests and be all enthusiastic about it, but at the end of the day I just wonder if this person understands that when this guy playing Peter Pan goes home, he takes off the costume and has his own life.”

Disney TikToker @babytoni99 Faces Backlash
This Reddit thread posted to r/popculturechat earlier in the week links to the Dexerto article chronicling the entire saga. According to the article, the video made a lot of people on TikTok feel uncomfortable on behalf of the Peter Pan actor.
That led to a lot of conversation as well as scrutiny aimed at Toni’s page, which includes a ton of Peter Pan content. Hence the “Peter Pan” girl title. Many echoed Andrew’s concerns about consent and whether Peter Pan could decline the attention. A second segment of viewers insisted that Toni didn’t do anything inappropriate and Peter Pan was just doing his job.
“Her chats with [the actors] are insanely long, too,” wrote one redditor. “They go on forever and ever. No self-awareness whatsoever.”
The Mary Sue contacted Andrew, Toni, and Disney via email for comment.
