Woman’s boyfriend gets picked for groomsman. Then she sees how he walks down the aisle with the other woman: ‘I’m too toxic for this’

Weddings are full of traditions: something old, something new, and apparently, someone else’s boyfriend having the time of his life with a bridesmaid.
One wedding guest watched her own boyfriend, freshly appointed groomsman, stroll down the aisle hand-in-hand and vibing with another woman like it was their soft launch. Her reaction? Silent shock, wide eyes, and a very clear “what is happening” moment caught on camera.
Now the internet is split between “it’s literally part of the ceremony” and “absolutely not, I’m way too toxic for this.”
What Happened at this Wedding?
It seems Jen (@jenbxo1313) has a flair for the dramatics that TikTok viewers can’t help eating up. In just six days, her clip already has almost 2 million views and over 400 comments. Her text overlay reads: “Having to watch your boyfriend hold hands with another woman ’cause he’s a groomsman.”
The video itself is short, capturing the moment Jen’s boyfriend and the accompanying bridesmaid make their way down the aisle. As they do so, they’re holding hands and dancing along to the music. The bridesmaid is lifting her bouquet of flowers with her other hand.
Mid-clip, Jen switches the camera to film her reaction. She seems to mouth the word “what?” as she slightly covers her mouth with her hand. The point of view switches again, and viewers can see the dancing couple once more before the video ends. The audio Jen has chosen is “The Other Woman” by Lana del Rey.
‘I’m too toxic for this’
Some viewers immediately let their emotions run the show. The top comment, having over 33,000 likes, says, “Holding hands was totally optional.” A second one claims, “Nope & nope I’m too toxic.”
A particular sum even chooses to comment on Jen’s boyfriend’s emotions. “Not a chance I’d allow this…why does he look so happy,” says one viewer.
Another also questions, “Why is he still so joyful though.”
Some call out the motive. “Who the heck holds hands? That is weird, ngl,” claims a comment that already has over 200 likes.
One comment says, “He didn’t even look for you and wave.” Jen, however, defends her boyfriend, saying, “The very beginning is him actually waving and us laughing about how funny the situation is.”
The other side of the spectrum is calling these reactions a bit over-the-top. “It’s really sad how many people have such trust issues!”
Another says, “The comments are so incredibly toxic.”

Naturally, some women start boasting about their own partners. One viewer with over 3,000 likes says, “Am I the only one who wouldn’t care? Like my husband is trusted.”
In contrast, another reveals, “my man wouldn’t he knows I’m strict.”
Wedding Faux-Pas
This isn’t the first time a wedding guest has felt embarassed or weirded out at a wedding. In a story The Mary Sue covered, a guest showed up to the event in a floral dress. The kicker? The event was a black-tie affair.
