NYC Woman Books a Yacht. When She Arrives at the Location, She Follows Some People and Ends Up at Kevin’s Birthday Party: ‘Happy Birthday, Kevin’

New York TikToker Addie (@byaddieee) has shared a video highlighting her experience boarding the wrong vessel after booking a Han River yacht experience through Klook.
Addie mentioned that when she arrived at the location, she didn’t see anyone around, but later noticed a few people going onto a yacht and followed them inside. Addie said that it was only after she had sat there for a while and talked with a woman that she realized that she had unintentionally become part of some random guy called Kevin’s birthday celebrations.
Addie mentioned that when she got on the yacht, everyone was looking at her, but she didn’t make anything of it, thinking that the reason for the attention was because she’s a foreigner. After Addie finally realized what was up, she mentioned the vessel was about to leave.
Addie says she is still “embarrassed” by what happened
She said that after she got off the yacht, Kevin apparently approached her and urged her to stay if she wanted to, but she refused because she didn’t know anyone there, including him.
While walking down the dock, yet more misfortune befell her: “I dropped my freaking sunglasses in the water,” she said before adding, “Everything is just happening and, like, embarrassed. Just embarrassing myself, bro.”
In addition, Addie shared that after getting off the wrong yacht, she waited for the right one but saw no one around. “I don’t even know where my freaking yacht is. So I should have stayed with Kevin. I should have stayed with them. I should have just been like, yeah… let’s be friends. Happy Birthday, Kevin. Let’s be friends,” Addie said as she reflected on how she could have handled things differently.
This isn’t the first time someone has been in an embarrassing situation they weren’t really prepared for. Additionally, this isn’t the first time an embarrassing situation has come up involving a yacht.
The consensus in the comments on Addie’s video was that she should have stayed on Kevin’s yacht. “You should’ve stayed, y’all could’ve been besties now,” one user said while another wrote, “I would’ve just made them all friends and it would’ve been the best how did we meet story.”
Some people also empathized with Addie about her embarrassment after the incident and shared what they would have done if they had been in her position. “It’s funny bc it wasn’t me I would’ve had an anxiety attack right there,” one user commented.
In a follow-up video, Addie put curious minds to rest by revealing that she had finally made it on the ‘right’ yacht, ending her story on a positive note.
