‘She won’t be getting a Xmas card from Trump this year’: MAGAs lose their minds as Meloni wipes her hands off Trump’s Iran war

In a video currently going viral on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is seen being quipped by a journalist about United States President Donald Trump, particularly regarding his actions in Iran since February this year. Shared by X user JackTheRippler, the caption provides some context for what Meloni is saying, since she is speaking in Italian.
The caption explains that the journalist asks Giorgia Meloni to comment on Trump’s repeated threats to NATO to seek help, especially regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz for oil and other essential supplies. She responds that her primary duty is to serve her nation’s interests and that Italy was not involved in the Iran war, which is why she couldn’t support it. While her actual words in the video are along similar lines to what’s mentioned in the caption, many viewers have claimed that Meloni does not exactly say what the caption suggests. So, what did she actually say? Continue reading to find out.
Giorgia Meloni is choosing to stay away from America’s war with Iran
As previously mentioned, in a recently circulated video, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni shows reluctance to get involved in the United States’ conflict with Iran, citing Italy’s interests. However, the context in which her comments are being discussed, based on what people on X (formerly Twitter) who have seen the video suggest, indicates that it is slightly altered.
Based on what some people who might understand Italian are saying, Meloni is stating that Europe doesn’t benefit much from a strained relationship with the United States, but Italy must defend its national interests. They also say she’s emphasizing that when Italy or she personally disagrees with the United States on certain issues, it’s important to voice disapproval. She adds that this was one of those instances where she did not agree with the United States or Donald Trump.
Melania Trump calls for a thorough Jeffrey Epstein investigation
In a move probably nobody anticipated, the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, on Thursday said it was time for Congress to “act” on the Jeffrey Epstein investigation after several people worldwide were forced to face the consequences of their actions due to their close ties to the disgraced financier and sex offender, including being jailed and losing their jobs. She said, “Several prominent male executives resigned from their powerful positions after this matter became widely politicized. Of course, this doesn’t amount to guilt, but we still must work openly and transparently to uncover the truth. I call on Congress to provide the women who have been victimized by Epstein with a public hearing specifically centered around the survivors. Give these victims the opportunity to testify under oath in front of Congress with the power of sworn testimony. Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story in public if she wishes. And then her testimony should be permanently entered. into the congressional record. Then and only then we will have the truth.”
That being said, it is important to note that immediately before she called for action on the Jeffrey Epstein case from Congress, she made it clear that she had no ties with the man or his business partner and fellow sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, emphasizing that she had met them at parties in passing, as they used to attend many parties and she just happened to bump into them at some. She also stated that she was not a victim of Epstein’s sex trafficking ring and did not know him personally, and that it was not he who introduced her to her current husband, Donald Trump. Additionally, she addressed the narrative surrounding her and her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein that exists in public and called it “baseless lies.”
