10 gifts on Amazon for the gamers in your life

Need to gift a gamer, but not sure where to start?? Here are some ideas to get the ball rolling and eliminate unnecessary side quests while you’re doing your holiday shopping.

Think of me as your guide to figuring out what to order on Amazon for a gamer who’s just starting out or who already has it all. Especially if this isn’t your scene, because it can get intimidating! What’s going to keep gamers cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped in the new year? I’m on the case. This guide slightly focusing on video games here, since that’s typically what people are talking about when they self-identify as a gamer in 2025. But I’ve got some options for folks who prefer tabletop games and/or making things with their hands as well.

A cute and affordable microphone for beginners

If someone on your gift list is thinking about getting into streaming but you don’t want to throw down the big bucks for their hobby just yet, Logitech’s Blue Snowball is a great start. It’s easy to use, sounds professional, and doesn’t take up too much space on your desk. Also good for amateur podcasters!

Headphones that won’t run out of battery

While we’re talking Logitech, I also recommend getting into noise-canceling headphones that are wired instead of Bluetooth-powered. They’re a smart bet for security reasons, connectivity, and won’t die halfway through your game or meeting. If these are giving “Zoom meeting” too much, or your person already has a favorite pair of headphones they are not parting with, may I suggest you head on over to Etsy and check out crochet covers? They’re so cute!

Glasses that avenge your eyes

It’s smart for gamers and all device-users to have a pair of blue light blocking glasses. Do what you love and save your poor eyes from screens. Why not get some that make you look like Tony Stark and/or Peter Parker? These are styled to look like E.D.I.T.H. glasses that show up in Spider-Man: Far From Home. (And will come back in VisionQuest next year…) It’s a fun nerdy twist on an essential item. Just keep them away from Mysterio.

Tiny chopsticks to keep snacks from messing up your space

These might be the kind of thing that your gamer giftee only uses once. I can’t attest to how useful they are. But they’re pretty cheap and small enough to stuff in a stocking. Plus, it’s an excuse to talk about that one picture of Oscar Isaac eating Flaming Hot Cheetos with chopsticks. That alone is worth the purchase.

Invest in a good water bottle that’s easy to sip mid-game

I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but water bottle brand loyalty is high these days. People are very committed to certain styles. I’m an Owala girl myself, but to each their own. If you’re getting one for someone, I recommend grabbing a set of metal straws too to use instead of the plastic one that comes with it. Please just stay hydrated.

Whatever this light-up mask is?!

I’m gonna be real honest. I don’t know what this LED light mask is supposed to accomplish or if it’s… from anything? Sorry to sound like a senior citizen, but I feel like I’m missing a reference. Regardless, I think you should buy one for someone and report back to me. The 90s kid in me needs to know what happens when you turn your face into a freakin’ Lite Brite.

A lap desk for sick days and staying in at night

Speaking of the 20th century, I feel like plush lap desks like this were huge in the 90s and 00s and fell out of fashion. Let’s bring them back! You need to have options for days when you’re stuck in bed or want to move from your desk to the couch. I prefer smooshy lap desks like this to the ones that look like a folding table on your bed, personally. This one seems designed to be as cozy as possible. A noble intention!

A tabletop game that even your most rule-averse friends can get behind

Screenshot

Scenario: you’re having or attending a game night IRL and some of the attendees don’t like having to learn a lot of new and complicated rules. Unfortunately, that (no pun intended) rules out role-playing games, even Ticket to Ride and Settlers of Catan. You can’t win over every non-gamer. But instead of letting them hide in the corner with Connect Four, allow me introduce one of my favorite easy-to-learn and portable games: Rummikub. There’s no board, or complicated pieces. It’s basically just a card game.

A Lego set for Fortnite-lovers with a LOT of new friends

Pharrell William as LEGO

As for videogame-themed Lego sets, I kind of think this Fortnite Battle Bus is the best bang for your buck. It’s a cool design. You can play with it or display it, depending on your intention. Or both! Look at how many minifigures come with it, too. It’s literally a busload of tiny Lego Fortnite friends.

Gameify your IRL life with a marble set

Maybe I’ve just been getting too many marble race TikToks, but I think this is a great gift for folks who are into games and game theory. You can create your own obstacle courses by yourself or collaborate with other people. That’s entirely up to you. If you’re buying this for a child and don’t want them to take over the fridge, don’t forget that magnetic paint exists. You can quickly create a magnetic space in a bedroom or a playroom, if you have one.
