The more content we get for Spider-Man: Far From Home, the more I can’t wait to watch this movie and cry over Peter Parker. A character who suffered quite a lot throughout Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, Peter is still trying to cope with what it means to be Spider-Man and how the world can function without Tony Stark.
In a new clip released when the cast paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, it’s clear that Peter Parker is going to have quite a time with Mysterio while he’s trying to just have fun in Europe.
Spider-Man, he save! Well, sort of.
The entire interview was fun because we got to see a bit of the inner workings of Marvel—meaning the cast talked about knowing absolutely nothing about Avengers: Endgame. As Buzzfeed points out, it also seems like Tom Holland had a crisis halfway through the interview thinking about the “plot hole” of all the Spider-Man cast still being in high school.
To be fair, it’s confusing a lot of fans, but I just think the explanation they’re going with is that the majority of Peter’s friends were snapped away by Thanos, so that means they’re the same age they were before Avengers: Endgame. Anyway, the clip doesn’t show us a lot more than before, but it does show Mysterio “saving the day” in a way that’s a bit showy.
We know that part of Mysterio’s villainy is that he lies, twisting things to make his truth seem to be the norm, so everything we know about Spider-Man: Far From Home could be just a big illusion to hide whatever Mysterio is really trying to achieve. That being said, I do hope the multiverse news is real because my heart needs that little bit of hope to carry on until July.
My heart can’t handle sad Peter Parker and, from what this movie is selling us, that’s all we’re going to get, so I guess buckle in for Spider-Man: Far From Home!
