BoJack Horseman Creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg Rewriting The LEGO Movie Sequel

Recommended Videos

Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the creator of Netflix’s BoJack Horseman, will take on his first film project with the Warner Bros.’ sequel to The LEGO Movie. Variety reports that while directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller wrote the original draft, they brought on Bob-Waksberg to rewrite the script for “a fresh take.”

The sequel, so far, promises a lot of new names and takes that’ll hopefully give it some fresh awesome-ness. With Rob Schrab of Community and The Mindy Project directing, the promise of more “female stuff,” and maybe Doctor Who, it sounds like there’s a lot to look forward to in the LEGO sequel! If anything, Bob-Waksberg’s involvement makes us hopeful for great gags and devastating emotional ruinand probably Will Arnett being his best funny self.

While The LEGO Movie sequel release date was moved back to a far away February 8, 2019, we still have The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO Ninjago Movie to look forward to, as both are scheduled for a 2017 release.

Are you looking forward to seeing these two worlds collide?
