Share Your X-citement — The X-Files Premieres Tonight!

At long last, the wait is over! The first episode of The X-Files revival is premiering tonight after the NFC Championship game (which means it’ll be 10 PM on the East Coast and 7 PM for you lucky West Coasters)–every week afterward, however, will air on Mondays, so don’t forget to switch your DVR over for episodes 2 through 6!

Our love for The X-Files on this site is probably plain and obvious by now–I wrote a piece way back when the revival was first announced about everything I’m hoping to see from the miniseries, not to mention trying to find ways to incorporate X-Files humor wherever I can. And as a fan of the show, I’m super appreciative of contributor Grace Duffy’s newbie recaps as she watches through The X-Files for the first time.

The excitement is definitely palpable in these last remaining hours we have before the premiere kicks off, and the official X-Files Twitter account is definitely helping all of us gear up. Even the actors involved in the show are already getting in on the hype:

Will you be tuning in live tonight for The X-Files premiere? (I’m still a little jealous of some of my buddies who have had the opportunity to view episodes earlier than the rest of us, whether at NYCC or just as a result of preview screenings or screeners.) What are you most looking forward to about the show’s return? Would you be open to more seasons of The X-Files (as Fox and show creator Chris Carter have heavily implied could happen)? This is your place to talk about all things about tonight’s episode! (Which means you should tread with caution in the comments after tonight, as spoilers could be likely.)

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: if Mulder doesn’t text Scully with the alien emoji at least once, I don’t know if I want to believe anymore. Kidding. I’m still hella excited.
