During the 2016 Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter Press Tour earlier today, X-Files creator Chris Carter revealed to reporters that we might be getting more than one season of the X-Files revival, saying “I’m waiting for Fox to come back and say ‘We want more of these.’”

The potential for more seasons was later addressed during an executive panel, in which Gary Newman, Chairman and CEO of Fox Television Group, said “We would be on board if schedules work out.”

During the X-Files panel, Carter also addressed the long-discussed 3rd X-Files movie: “There was talk of doing a third movie and it was casual talk. So I wrote a third movie because I was interested to see where it would go.”

Gillian Anderson latter added, “I mean, from the time that we ended the second film, the idea was that we would potentially do another one, if we were allowed.”

What do you think, gang? Obviously the X-Files revival hasn’t even started yet, but, if everyone’s schedule somehow aligned to make more seasons possible (and that’s a big if), is that something you might want to watch? What about a movie?
