Not too long ago, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy promised to get more women involved with making Star Wars films. It seems that there’s finally some movement on that front, as the Los Angeles Times reports agent Adriana Alberghetti pulled together a few meetings for the talent she reps. In total, there are four directors and three writers who will be meeting with Lucasfilm.

According to Indiewire, Alberghetti represents a long list of talent, including: directors Sarah Gavron (Suffragette) and S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones), as well as screenwriters Linda Woolverton (Maleficent) and Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Fright Night), among others.

Previously, in an interview with Fortune, Kennedy said, “It is going to happen. We are going to hire a woman who’s going to direct a Star Wars movie. I have no doubt.” Also, lest we forget, Elizabeth Banks has totally thrown her hat into the ring to possibly direct an upcoming Star Wars movie. That… would actually be kind of exciting, no?

It’ll be exciting to see who gets the job for sure. The upcoming Star Wars flicks are a bit of a boy’s club, so it’ll be great to see the new things that come about with some new perspective behind the camera.
