Samurai Jack Is Returning to Cartoon Network for a New Season!

Count this as one car on the revival train that we’re very happy to see: Samurai Jack is coming back to Cartoon Network with new episodes!

After its original final episode in 2004, Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter’s Laboratory, Star Wars: Clone Wars) is finally bringing his beautifully animated time-traveling samurai tale back to our TV screens. Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim dropped the news:

Adult Swim is excited to announce that JACK IS BACK. Creator and executive producer Genndy Tartakovsky continues the epic story of Samurai Jack with a new season that will premiere on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in 2016.

The new season is currently in production in Los Angeles at Cartoon Network Studios.

Otherwise, details are scarce, but this is one well we don’t mind going back to. Come on, 2016!
