However, it is what happened to one woman at a thrift shop. While the comment didn’t ruffle her feathers, it certainly did for her viewers.

What Did The Elderly Married Woman Say?

The video features England-based TikTok creator Thea June (@itstheajune), who sets the scene in motion in the text overlay to over 2.3 million viewers: “POV: you’re trying on a wedding dress in a charity shop and a lady comes up to tell you not to get married.”

At first, she is standing in the clothing aisle, minding her business. As she attempts to zip the simple, elegant wedding dress she has on, an elderly woman approaches her. “Don’t do it,” she whispers the warning. 

Immediately, the content creator bursts into laughter. The woman looks around with her finger toward her lips, continuing, “Take it from me. I’m 70 years old, and I’ve been married for 52 years.”

For Thea, isn’t betrothed at the moment, so no wedding bells.

“I’m not engaged. Don’t worry,” she says, as she and the other woman are cracking up. “I just see a pretty dress I have to try on.”
