Alternate Universe: Megan Gale As Wonder Woman In George Miller’s Justice League Movie

Recommended Videos

George Miller, of Mad Max: Fury Road fame, almost directed a Justice League feature film — and he got pretty far along in the creative process, it seems. Far enough to necessitate a photo-shoot of Megan Gale in a Wonder Woman costume, anyway. The shots above, taken by photographer Mark Rogers, show how Diana would have looked had Miller’s film come to fruition.

This would have been a huge breakout casting choice for Gale, had it all panned out. She did still get to play the Valkyrie in Fury Road, which is an undoubtedly cool part, albeit one with less screen time. I’m just assuming that George Miller’s Wonder Woman would’ve had a lot of screen time, based on the artistic choices that Miller tends to make, alongside his talented editing partner Margaret Sixel.

What do you all think of the costume? I love pretty much everything about it, except for the breastplate — but only because I know it would really hurt her solar plexus if she got hit while wearing such an impractical piece of armor. Still, though, the rest of the aesthetic choices — the detailing, the tiara, and the interesting take on the skirt-versus-leotard question? I’m into it. And I definitely think I would have liked to see this version of the Justice League movie.
