Worlds collided at Wondercon on Saturday, as DC Comics and IDW Publishing announced Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War, a six-part miniseries set to release in July. Behind the writer’s helm is Mike Johnson, who was the pen behind a bunch of Star Trek and DC comics. He’s joined by Angel Hernández, who was the artist’s brush behind recent issues of Infinite Crisis: Fight for the Multiverse.

According to the official description:

Set in Star Trek’s 23rd Century, the balance of the universe will be tested when the Green Lantern Corps’ Power Rings come into the possession of certain Star Trek characters while a dark and powerful evil looms around every corner. Only the combined power of the Green Lantern Corps and the Federation stand any chance of stopping those who worship evil’s might.

The miniseries’ dramatis personae features Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps, as well as the Abrams-era Star Trek crew.

In a press release to Comic Book Resources, Greg Goldstein, IDW President and COO, said, “Star Trek and Green Lantern both share so many of the same science-fiction adventure themes and ideals, that a galaxy-spanning crossover like this is simply… logical.”

Who do you think the rings deem worthy of joining the corps?
