Things We Saw Today: Elrond, Thranduil, and Kids as Penguins

I think the blue-eyed chick on the left is supposed to be Arwen, because Elrond’s other kids were twin sons? Because I know that’s the first thing you were wondering about this picture. (Siwillli on Tumblr)

Tentacles. Confectionary treats. What more could a girl want in a skirt? (Fashionably Geek)

This is what happens when you mash the faces of every man to play Batman since Adam West together: you get some weird hybrid of Michael Keaton and Christian Bale.

Is this what we’ve come to? LOTR penguins? You can’t just pick any two random things and mash them together. Well, I guess you CAN. Doesn’t mean it’s not stupid.

Before I scrolled down to see the Batman compilation, I expected to see some disturbing, misshapen face. But damn if he isn’t ruggedly handsome

Elrond and Thranduil are my favorites, and they make awfully cute penguins.

Batmash-up is… actually kind of hot. Scary.

Those Little Debbie cakes were around long before Twinkies went away.

Uhm, Cloud Cakes aren’t new, they’ve been on the market for a while now, just massively overshadowed by the iconic Twinkie. Frankly, they’re better than Twinkies have been lately — I don’t know if it was the trans-fat reformulation or something else, but there was a Twinkie recipe change that led to the creme being heavy and oily rather than fluffy, and the Cloud Cakes seem to be closer to the ‘classic’ Twinkies I remember from childhood.

Actually, faces that are closer to the population average (such as those created by combining different people’s features together) are generally seen to be more attractive. ( )

And yeah, I agree. I think meta-Batman is looking pretty good.

I am surprised that the Wes Anderson post spoke nothing of the Conon take on a Wes Anderson Star Wars.
