Recently Threadless challenged artists to illustrate “the battle between Spider-Man and his archnemesis.” Some of the winners, which appear on t-shirts in the company’s new Spider-Man collection, take “battle” literally (I particularly like Yannick Bouchard‘s Spider-Man vs Green Goblin), some are more metaphorical (Blair Sayer and Ross Zietz‘s Changes), and others take a more whimsical approach (Robert Thomas‘ Rock! Paper! Scissors! Web!?). A few of my favorite pieces are behind the jump; you can check out all of them over at Threadless.READ MORE

I have a love-hate relationship with Threadless. On the one hand, I love their designs. On the other, I can’t make myself pay $25 for a t-shirt. It’s just not happening. But I can still admire the awesome tees that make up their new Toy Story collection from afar.
Kinda sucks that Jessie’s not on any of ‘em, though. Et tu, Threadless? Et tu?READ MORE

Neil Gaiman writes stories all the time. He eats them and breathes them. But for the first time, the writer has penned a short story on a t-shirt. It’s a preview of Comics on Tees Vol. 6 from Threadless. In the past they’ve featured work from Becky Cloonan, Jill Thompson, Jeff Lemire, and lots more. Gaiman teamed with artist Ben Templesmith on this one and you can read the story here. (via WearCareful)READ MORE
