Disney Has “Started Conversations” About a Live-Action Star Wars TV Show

At a Television Critics Association press tour Disney president Paul Lee was asked about the possibility of a live-action Star Wars show appearing on ABC at some point in the future. His answer was heartening, assuming you’re on board with the whole Disney-Star Wars collaboration. (I’m there. I don’t know when it happened, but it did.)

The Disney-Lucasfilm Purchase Might Lead to a Live-Action Star Wars TV Series. Eventually. Maybe.

ABC entertainment president Paul Lee has caused everyone on the Internet to freak out (well, everyone in the geek corners, anyway—I’m not all too familiar with the rest of it) by saying that there might be a Star Wars show on ABC now that their parent company Disney has bought LucasFilm. Lee! You’d better mean it. You can’t just say things like that and then flake out.

ABC President Talks S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Chances of Getting Picked Up to Series, Because Apparently That’s Not a Sure Thing Yet

Well, it’s pretty much a sure thing. At this point ABC has only ordered a pilot and still has to decide whether to commit to a full series, same as with most shows.
