We Can Be Heroes

Is Catwoman A Hero? MTV Wants To Know.

To be fair, it seems MTV has already decided Catwoman is a hero, they’re just looking for confirmation from you. But she does have competition. You can vote for who will go home with the Best Hero Award at the MTV Movie Awards here. We’d love to see Selina win because we know she’s a good egg but looks like either Bilbo or Snow White already have it in the bag.

Damon Lindelof Doesn’t Want To Give Too Much Away About Star Trek 2 But Is That A Klingon?

Producer Damon Lindelof, like everyone else involved with the film, has been tight-lipped about the details of the forthcoming Star Trek sequel but he recently did an interview with TrekMovie.com in which he talked about the film without actually talking about the film. He did, however, mention the first look of the film will likely be granted to the San Diego Comic-Con audience. There’s also this pesky image from the MTV Movie Awards with director J.J. Abrams which may or may not feature a Klingon.

New Footage From The Dark Knight Rises Premiered at the MTV Movie Awards Last Night [Video]

Last night at the MTV Movie Awards, Christian Bale joined director Christopher Nolan and co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman onstage as they looked back at their time telling the story of Batman/Bruce Wayne before bidding it a final farewell in The Dark Knight Rises. They showed a montage that included moments featuring the late Heath Ledger, and it caused Bale to become pretty emotional. And then, they looked to the (near) future and premiered new footage from the third and final movie. You can check that out after the jump. UPDATE: Warner Bros. has asked several bloggers, including us, to remove the footage due to copyright infringement. We hope MTV stops making it available to embed if no one is allowed to embed their content.

Both Men And Woman Can Be Heroes At The MTV Movie Awards

Is MTV making an important statement with one of their MTV Movie Award categories? I don’t find myself watching much MTV these days (I long for actual music videos), so this particular story was only in my peripheral. But since I follow the official Hunger Games Twitter account I knew Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss was up for “Best Hero” at this year’s MTV Movie Awards. Yes, Best Hero, not Best Female Hero, not Best Heroine. Interesting.

MTV’s Teen Wolf Cast Compares the Show to Every Movie in Cinematic History

We’re a tiny bit skeptical about MTV‘s new Teen Wolf series, mostly because it looks nothing like the original Teen Wolf and more like Twilight: Without Vampires. But the cast wants you to know that you will like their show tons and tons, because it’s like The Shining. And Jack Sparrow. And Willy Wonka. And Star Wars. And The Matrix. And they can assure you that it’s nothing like the movie. We are supposed to be excited about this. Should we? The first eight minutes and why we’re supposed to buy this show as “the best of every single world” after the jump.
