First Look At Game of Thrones‘ Sand Snakes Reveals NIPPLE BOOB ARMOR WHY

Oh dear Clooney no!

The fifth season of Game of Thrones is well into shooting at Spain’s Alcázar of Seville, and this week brings us our first glimpse of the wicked-awesome Sand Snakes and oh my gosh is that nipples on their boob armor?! Who allowed this?!

In A Song of Ice and Fire, the Sand Snakes are the daughters of Pedro Pascal’s Oberyn Martell (may he rest in peace); they get their name from Oberyn’s nickname, “the Red Viper,” and “Sand,” the name given to illegitimate children in Dorne. Infamous in Dorne, they’re basically super bad-ass, kick-butt ladies, and we are pretty stoked on them. In Game of Thrones, Nymeria, Obara, and Tyene Sand will be played by Jessica Henwick, Keisha Castle-Hughes, and Rosabell Laurenti-Sellers.

But boob armor? With nips? Listen, first of all, the impeccably-dressed Oberyn would never let his daughters wander around in tacky matching outfits like they’re the Weterosi version of the Plastics. Second of all, science says boob plate armor would literally kill you, with the divet between your breasts a quick ride to a shattered breastbone or even death.
