Katana Unsheathes Her Sword In The Beware the Batman Intro [VIDEO]

Interesting style happening here. Not sure if I like it but it does have slight hints to Batman: The Animated Series with all the shadow work. However, I’m pretty sure Beware the Batman is going to be quite different as it features Katana as Batman’s Robin-type character and Professor Pyg (*shiver*). The new series premieres on Cartoon Network July 13, will you be watching?

The more I see of this show the more optimistic I get about it.

    It looks like puke.

i dropped cable over a year ago (prices are just outrageous), and even though I dig Bats to the Nth degree, this doesn’t look like it’ll be enough to get me to “hook” back up

Here’s an idea: Lets push cheap computer animation to the limit and remove any detail what-so-ever. Then while we’re at it let’s throw in some shadows to make it look edgy!! Sounds like fun!! Ugh. Pardon me, it’s new comic book day. I need to out and get some REAL art.

It actually looks better than the *real episode clips* that are already out. Which is bad, no matter what direction you’re coming at it from.

So does…Batman mostly fight robots in this series, or is poor Katana stuck with the “Wolverine Syndrome” for this one and stuck slicing open doors and ropes for the entire season? And the occasional sword-pommeling?

So many weird decisions being made by Warner Bros.

I’m more curious about Alfred and those guns… who or what is he going to be shooting exactly?
