First Photo of Benedict Cumberbatch Shooting Doctor Strange in Nepal

Recommended Videos

Benedict Cumberbatch was recently spotted in Nepal, dressed and in character, filming the upcoming Marvel flick Doctor Strange. To be honest, it took me a minute to figure out which, uh, figure he was. He’s the long-haired guy left of center in the coat… I think? He looks so much like Keanu Reeves, doesn’t he?

No photos of Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, or Chiwetel Ejiofor yet, though.

Either way, this is the first look at Cumberbatch as the titular Doctor. Granted he’s not in full Doctor Strange garb quite yet, but hey: there’s still time yet for that. And, as usual with grainy cell phone pics, there’s not a whole lot of info to be gleaned from the photo. The only thing rampant here is wild speculation.

So with that being said: go on, lovely people! Speculate! Wildly, if you must.

Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4th, 2016. Wow, that’s exactly a year from now. Isn’t that chilling?
