The Avengers Might Show Up to Comic-Con After All

Never Mind

So despite all those reports floating around that Comic-Con would be utterly lacking in showcases by upcoming films this year, there are now rumors floating around that The Avengers might make an appearance at the convention after all.

Rumors are ruminating that Marvel plans to market The Avengers outside of Hall H, focused on a faux-security and recruiting station for S.H.I.E.L.D.

From FirstShowing:

The main focus will be S.H.I.E.L.D., similar to the badges at WonderCon, and they will have actual set pieces from the movie placed on the showfloor as part of a faux-security and recruiting station for S.H.I.E.L.D….

We also heard that some of the cast, including Chris Evans (Cap), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), might show up for signings at Marvel’s booth.

Chris Evans will also be hanging around, as he’ll be promoting Captain America. It is unclear who else from the movie will be there, it is still filming, but as i09 put it, “SDCC without Joss Whedon is like Christmas without Santa Claus.”
