Andrew Cuomo just got the funniest and most eye-roll worthy endorsement

andrew cuomo

In a cursed sentence, Woody Allen was profiled by Bari Weiss for The Free Press and we found out that he’s going to vote for Andrew Cuomo. Whoever is writing this season of my life, you’re getting too on the nose with the outrageous nonsense happening.

During their chat, Allen revealed that he is going to vote in the upcoming New York mayoral election and said that he is going to vote for Andrew Cuomo. Both men have gross sexual assault allegations against them. Now, not that I cared who Allen was going to vote for but it is hilarious that he said Cuomo given his own legacy in the press as well as Cuomo’s. That’s information you 100% could have kept to yourself.

Allen was accused of sexually assaulting his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, as a child. Since, Farrow and Allen’s biological son, Ronan Farrow, have not had contact with Allen. The rumors and accusations against Allen have been in the news since the 90s when his ex, Mia Farrow, accused him of sexually assaulting Dylan Farrow. This was in 1992, 13 years after Allen’s controversial film Manhattan was released that depicted a man named Isaac (Allen) is 42 years old and is dating a 17 year-old named Tracy (Mariel Hemingway).

Despite Farrow speaking up in 1992, the allegations against Allen did not begin to affect the writer/actor/director’s career until years later and he is now a black sheep in Hollywood. So why Weiss felt the need to profile him, no one knows. But it did give me a good laugh hearing who Allen was voting for.

Cuomo was accused of sexually harrassing eleven women while in office as the governor of New York and it was alleged that he participated in unwanted groping, kissing and sexual comments. So for Allen to show his support for Cuomo who is, arguably, only running for mayor because he is disgraced is HILARIOUS. Add it to him Cuomo losing to Zohran Mamdani in the primary and yet still running and failing at it levels of hilarious.

I hope Bari Weiss had fun selling her soul for this profile because the entire thing is just levels of messed up but Woody Allen voting for Andrew Cuomo gave me a good and hearty laugh.
