Taj Jackson Slams New York Post on the Credibility of their Sources

Michael is in theaters now.

Taj Jackson had a few scathing thoughts to say about a New York Post article about his family. Taj, who is the nephew of the deceased pop star Michael Jackson, told people not to trust random, “anonymous” sources on articles.

Jackson tagged the New York Post on X. He wrote, “Leave my family alone with your lies and click bait articles. You and your fake sources. A “family source”.. blah blah blah.”

Taj Jackson also mentioned the writer of the article he was critical of. He said, “Stacy Brown, you have no credibility, never have. That’s why I’ve called you a weasel in the past. And just so you know, Stacy Brown was having dinner with the prosecution team during my uncle’s trial. Stop trusting the tabloids.”

But why is Jackson so furious about an article with beaming reviews about the recent biopic his family was involved with? Michael is considered a massive commercial success, with the film earning $217.4 million worldwide upon its debut. While Stacy Brown did talk about the film’s success, the article also cited a variety of “anonymous” sources.

Suspicious sources

To clarify, there’s nothing wrong with censoring sources. This is especially true if the people involved may face political retribution or endangerment if their identities were revealed. However, Brown’s article cited these sources as intimate insiders to the Jackson family.

One of the major claims in the article involves an alleged tour. Brown’s source said that because of the movie’s success, Jackson’s remaining siblings have agreed to go on tour. They are also planning to name it “Thriller.” But again, no name has been attached to these massive claims.

Many social media users appear to be in support of Taj Jackson’s callout against Brown. One X poster commented with skepticism of her sources. The tweet reads, “crazy imagine how many times fake stories were made about michael without being community noted like this.” Another X user said that people should let the Jackson family “grieve, celebrate, and build in peace.”

But the child abuse allegations can’t be ignored either, since there are new ones filed against Jackson.

Allegations against Michael Jackson

It’s healthy to be skeptical, especially if the sources are unknown. However, people shouldn’t be ignoring the several documentaries made about the late Jackson and his odd relationship with children.

A possible point of scrutiny from Taj Jackson would be the article’s consistent mention of the allegations against his deceased uncle. Michael Jackson has been repeatedly accused of sexual abuse against children. His debacle continues even as he’s below six feet, with supposed victims continuing to sue the pop icon.

Moreover, Brown’s article also said that the Jackson Estate is reluctant to tackle the infamous 2003 documentary, Living with Michael. They also don’t seem eager to take on Jackson’s 2005 trial, when he was accused of molesting a child. Putting this case aside, a 2019 documentary called Leaving Neverland also followed the story of two self-professed survivors of Jackson’s abuse.

These were personal stories, but interestingly, the victims will go on trial against Jackson in November 2026. Writing off the possibility of Jackson abusing children just because a successful movie about him came out would be disingenuous to survivors of the same circumstances.

Taj Jackson is entitled to feel upset at the slew of anonymous sources claiming to know his family. But at the same time, people who claim to be victims shouldn’t be written off so easily. Two things can be true at once.
