Tucker Carlson drops another bomb as he suspects Donald Trump is being blackmailed
Conspiracy or reality?

Tucker Carlson has suggested that President Donald Trump is currently being blackmailed, a claim that emerged following a heated public exchange between the two. This development surfaced on April 10, 2026, as Carlson responded to a series of sharp criticisms directed at him by the president. Rather than engaging in a direct verbal battle, Carlson opted to frame his response around the idea that the president is under immense, external pressure.
The tension between the two figures reached a boiling point when the president took to Truth Social to voice his frustrations. In a post, he targeted Carlson along with other media figures, including Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones. He claimed these individuals share a common trait of low intelligence.
According to Mediaite, the president went as far as to suggest that Carlson should consider seeing a good psychiatrist. He further described Carlson as a broken man who struggled to complete his education and has not been the same since his departure from Fox News.
Carlson addressed these comments in a morning note released on Friday
Instead of returning the insults, he suggested that the president deserves a level of grace. He argued that the president is facing pressures so significant that he has been forced to abandon campaign promises. According to Carlson, the president is morphing into the exact type of politician he once vowed to dismantle. This shift, in Carlson’s view, implies that the personal stakes for the president must be incredibly high.
The core of the fired Fox News host’s theory involves the government of Israel. In his note, he claimed that the Israeli government has a long history of utilizing blackmail against United States presidents to achieve its goals.
He pointed to the 1990s as a notable example, alleging that recordings of a phone sex session involving Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky were used as leverage to force the release of convicted spy Jonathan Pollard. Carlson stated that this is a reality rather than a joke, and he suggested that similar tactics could be in play regarding the current administration and its stance on the war in Iran.
Carlson wrote that he does not know for certain whether this blackmail is occurring. However, he maintained that the mere possibility is haunting enough to keep the president awake at night. He claimed that the current priority for Israel is to ensure that Operation Epic Fury continues without interruption. Moreover, he speculated that the president could be facing a situation similar to the one involving Clinton, or potentially something much more morbid.
His response to Trump’s scathing attack didn’t stop there
By afternoon, he escalated his commentary, stating that he feels sympathy for the president, comparing his situation to that of a slave. He told Newsmax Chief Washington Correspondent James Rosen, “I’ve always liked Trump and still feel sorry for him, as I do for all slaves.” When pressed to elaborate, he added, “He’s hemmed in by other forces. He can’t make his own decisions. It’s awful to watch.”
This is not the first time Carlson has leaned into highly controversial or conspiratorial territory. Throughout his recent career, he has explored various theories, ranging from his involvement in discussions about the events of September 11 to his claims about the federal government and the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. His style has become increasingly intense, including past claims about experiencing a physical encounter with a demon while in bed.
The president remains firm in his assessment of these media figures. In his original post, he dismissed the critiques coming from this group as coming from people who believe it is wonderful for Iran to possess a nuclear weapon. He labeled them as stupid and suggested that their families are aware of this fact as well. He urged his audience to look at the past and the records of these individuals to understand why they have been fighting against him for years.
The divide highlights a significant friction within the broader political landscape. While the president views the criticism as a lack of intelligence and a misguided stance on national security, Carlson is painting a picture of a leader who has lost his autonomy.
By framing the president as a captive of foreign interests, Carlson is attempting to provide a narrative that justifies why a former ally would turn into a vocal opponent. Whether this perspective gains any traction remains to be seen, but the public nature of these accusations ensures that the conflict between these two voices will continue to draw attention.
