TikToker’s friend crashes her family vacation and charges drinks to her room. Then she reveals how the friend got them kicked out of the hotel early
Friends don't get you kicked out of your hotel.

Vacations don’t always turn out the way you hope, as in this case, where a woman booked a Groupon mystery vacation. Allie (@katsuranotzura7) shared a family vacation story that resulted in them getting kicked out of the hotel early due to the drama that her friend brought when she crashed Allie’s vacation with her situationship, Danny, and kids.
Allie begins by saying that she takes partial blame for the situation. She apparently posted quite a bit of information on Facebook about her upcoming vacation, which made it easy for her friend to show up uninvited. This is just one of the reasons why it’s generally recommended to avoid posting information about a vacation online until it’s over.
However, Allie was excited and shared the information, so when her friend allegedly showed up, she understood that she had made that possible by oversharing. At first, she didn’t mind, but Allie’s own family vacation was quickly ruined by escalating drama from her friend and her friend’s situationship.
Allie became a last-minute dog sitter
Since her kids seemed happy to hang out with her friend’s kids, Allie didn’t press the issue of her friend crashing the vacation. She did, however, say that she didn’t want Danny going along to the aquarium when they planned to take the kids during their stay, as she doesn’t like Danny much. She claims that he treats her friend poorly, calling him awful and the worst.
Her friend allegedly promises that Danny will stay at the hotel that day and not go to the aquarium, and the night goes on.
At around midnight, Allie’s friend calls to ask if her dog, Lulu, can stay in Allie’s room because Danny allegedly has allergies and they’re acting up. Allie doesn’t want to. Her own husband has allergies, but her friend says it’s bad, and Danny doesn’t have his inhaler. Allie reluctantly agrees, but Lulu won’t stop whining.
To make it worse, Allie’s friend allegedly turned off her phone after dropping off Lulu, meaning Allie can’t get a hold of her through calls or texts to return Lulu. She reportedly tried asking the front desk for her friend’s room number, but they allegedly wouldn’t give it to her due to guest privacy and safety.
The bar tab was the final straw
Morning arrives, and Allie hasn’t slept. Allie claims that her friend says Lulu never does that and allegedly makes excuses about her phone dying and not being able to find her charger. Allie wants to get over the situation and move on, but she’s unable to move on from what happened during lunch.
Allie’s husband went to get lunch for the family from the bar and grill attached to the hotel and came back angry, having found Danny at the bar charging all his drinks to his room. Allie goes to the front desk and finds that over $85 of beer has been charged to her room so far, which is like finding out that a restaurant charged you an automatic tip for takeout.
Allie allegedly gets into an argument with her friend, who claims that she couldn’t remember her own room number and used Allie’s, and that she could Cash App her the money later. The argument apparently results in another guest calling the hotel, and the staff asks them to leave early.
At this point, Allie claims that she begged to be allowed to stay, but the hotel insisted she had to be out in the morning. While she was refunded for the additional night she was supposed to stay, Allie felt bad that her friend’s kids didn’t get to go to the aquarium.
While Allie admitted that she felt guilty and like she should apologize, commenters rallied around her and said that this person isn’t her friend, and that this person ruined the vacation for her own children, not Allie.
Hotels can put guests on Do Not Rent lists
Allie likely didn’t end up on the hotel’s Do Not Rent (DNR) list, and being kicked out early could be due to a misunderstanding or other reasons. However, a Reddit user (u/sjirons72) started a conversation about hotels’ DNRs on the Ask Hotels subreddit.
Apparently, being a hotel worker themself, sjirons72 started the conversation with reasons they claim guests were put on a DNR. That list includes a sports group allegedly getting drunk and puking everywhere, and a different guest who was apparently dealing drugs.
Commenters joined in with their own stories, with the top comment being a story about a guest who allegedly peed all over the bed to the point it went through all the blankets and the mattress topper.
At least in Allie’s story, she claims that the hotel refunded the night she wasn’t able to stay, and she likely didn’t end up on that hotel’s DNR.
