Things We Saw Today: Jack Russell Pops Balloons in Real-Life Pac-Man Course

HelloDenizen shared this video of a dog (or Pac-Dog) chasing balloons in a real-life Pac-Man course for the first episode of Animal Arcade. It’s not just any dog, however, but Twinkie, the Jack Russell who has the USA record for balloon bursting and he does a pretty impressive job. (via United States of Awesome)

  • Switzerland’s entry for the foreign language Academy Award is a stop-motion film called Ma vie de Courgette (My Life As a Courgette) and I can’t stop watching the trailer. U.S. distributors, pay attention! (via Cartoon Brew)
  • 3D printing house Vigo Universal crafted a 20-foot-tall replica of the Stargate portal and it only took 1000 hours. (via Blastr)
  • Yvonne Strahovski has joined Elisabeth Moss and Joseph Fiennes in Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale. The actress will play Serena Joy, the wife of Fiennes’ Commander Waterford. (via Deadline)
  • “No more looking away:” io9 published an op-ed today about sexual harassment in the scifi/fantasy community that’s a very worthwhile read.

Youtube user Sidriel created an Overwatch opening set to the theme from Friends, which is a combination you can’t really go wrong with (as demonstrated here, here, and here).

That’s it for what we saw today, what did you see?
