DoorDash driver says a drunk Ave Q Taco Bell worker demanded cash to hand over orders, then tried locking delivery drivers outside: ‘I ain’t drunk’
They were still waiting for the food when a worker threatened their future deliveries.

A Texas Taco Bell worker allegedly demanded cash to hand over delivery orders while another argued with waiting drivers and tried to shut them outside. Amanda Michelle shared footage of the confrontation on Facebook on November 1, identifying the restaurant as the Ave Q location.
People accuse the arguing worker of being drunk, which he denies. “I ain’t drunk,” he responds. The confrontation continues as drivers ask for their orders and he threatens to stop them from delivering for DoorDash again.
Michelle’s caption makes separate allegations about two employees. She accuses one of demanding payment and the other of arguing with people while intoxicated. The recording captures the confrontation, but it does not independently prove that either worker had consumed alcohol.
Paying apparently wasn’t enough to get the order
“I gave you money so that I could get the order,” one person repeatedly says. They identify the pickup as “Smith” when the worker asks which order, and he tells someone to get it.
Michelle does not specify how much money allegedly changed hands, and the recording does not show the payment itself. The person asking for the food, however, describes paying as something they did specifically to collect the order.
Michelle says an employee demanded money before handing over orders. What isn’t clear is whether that payment covered the food itself or was an extra charge to collect it.
Dashers sometimes pay out of pocket when DoorDash’s payment card fails, and the company has a reimbursement process for those expenses. No one mentions a card problem in this video, so that policy does not explain what happened here.
Meanwhile, someone waiting outside points out that the argument is preventing people from collecting food. “No one is getting their order because you are out here yapping,” they tell the worker.
Walking away would leave the delivery unfinished
The worker tells the drivers to go home, but they came to collect customers’ food. Leaving would mean walking away from deliveries they had yet to complete, without resolving the complaint about money allegedly paid.
As he approaches the woman recording, others try to hold him back. Someone tells him to go inside, while another person objects to him approaching their mother. The exchange continues with insults from people on both sides.
“Every last one of y’all’s, I need a license plate,” the worker says. He then declares that none of the waiting drivers will deliver for DoorDash again.
Restaurants do have some authority over pickups. DoorDash’s merchant FAQ says businesses can block individual Dashers from collecting their orders. That restriction applies to the restaurant, however, rather than giving an employee the power to kick someone off DoorDash altogether.
The worker says they won’t deliver for DoorDash again, but the video ends without showing whether he reported anyone or followed through on the threat. Whether the drivers left with their orders remains unclear. Michelle does not say if anyone got their money back or what the restaurant did afterward.
