Supergirl Casts a Super Powers-ful Guy to Play Hellgrammite

Recommended Videos

Looks like Kara is gonna be totally buggin’ in Season 1 of Supergirl. The CBS series has just cast Justice Leak (Powers) as Hellgrammite.

According to EW, Supergirl‘s version of the villainous Hellgrammite will have alien origins. Otherwise, we don’t know much about him. That said, we can assume he’ll have abilities similar to the ones he has in comics, which means, Kara, you best look out for any cocoon-like structures! (Hellgrammite, formerly an entomologist named Roderick Rose, is known to imprison his prey in cocoons and turn them into larvae! Oh, and he is also a super leaper with super strength.)

Judging from Leak’s IMDB page, we should meet this version of Hellgrammite in the second episode of Supergirl. And Hellgrammite isn’t the only villain we’re going to meet in Season 1. Just recently, we learned that Brit Morgan (True Blood) will play Livewire.

What do you think of this casting? Do you like Leak for the role? What other Super villains do you want to see in Season 1?

Also, does Justice Leak not sound like an epic superhero/villain name? And look at this guy moving from a Marvel-based show to a DC one!
