She just wanted a photo with her dog.

She paid for a family picture session for Christmas. Bringing a dog in the photo made her relationship with her twin sister implode ‘She’s a snake’

Mckayla (@ihatecherrypopcicles) brought her dog for a family photo with her parents and siblings. But after a disagreement with her siblings, including her twin sister, Mckayla decided to cut contact with all of them.

“So, let’s talk about why I will probably never be speaking to her again, or any of my other siblings, for that matter,” Mckayla told TikTok. She has fallen out with her twin and explained that her other siblings have also cut ties with her.

“There was one sister who was the antagonist of it all. And my siblings and I collectively agreed that what she was doing was completely over the top, uncalled for,” Mckayla claimed. She was referring to her older sister, who set up a family photo session with her parents for Christmas. Her older sister set the photoshoot up earlier this year, on June 7th. But then her older sister decided no dogs were allowed in the photos.

“She didn’t tell us the actual reason. She came up with quite a few. That’s how we knew she was lying,” Mckayla said. Regardless of her sister’s rules, she and another sibling wanted to bring their dogs. Mckayla clarified that she didn’t plan to bring her dog into the family group photo. Instead, she and her husband wanted one photo with their pets. Even though her sister said no, the photographer had extra time and agreed to take a photo of Mckayla and the dogs. Mckayla paid her share of the photoshoot, and the photographer snapped two photos.

“This sister is seething; the sister is pissed. All the siblings collectively agree that was not a big deal, why did she make an a** of herself?” Mckayla stated. However, bringing her dog would only spiral into a bigger family drama.

They failed to defend her

Mckayla ignored it but decided to cut her older sister off over alleged name-calling. While she didn’t threaten to send her family member to jail, unlike this woman who almost sent her mother to the slammer, Mckayla was still upset with her older sister’s behavior and how she treated her, even though her other sibling also brought a dog for family pictures. To make matters worse, Mckayla alleged that her other siblings stood by as her older sister called her “stupid.” After they finished taking pictures, they allegedly all had a chat, even though her older sister had allegedly insulted her.

A couple of weeks later, her older sister announced the photos were ready. “Great. I knew, at this point, exactly what she was gonna do. And she’s was going to withhold the pictures,” Mckayla said. She said that’s exactly what happened. Even though Mckayla asked the photographer for the photos, she allegedly told her she could only give them to the person she was contracted with: her older sister. In the end, Mckayla had to save the photos from the photographer’s public gallery, which she said had worse quality.

Mckayla asserted that, at the time, her other siblings collectively agreed that their older sister was “being a control freak.” Then, her older sister allegedly provoked her, saying that she was “looking forward to her shoutout on TikTok.” Because of that, Mckayla posted about her family photo drama online, and it blew up. Although her other siblings initially supported her, Mckayla said that shifted after she posted the video on social media.

She thought her twin was on her side

“When I posted that TikTok, I posted the messages,” Mckayla said. She alleged that her twin sister complained to her about the TikTok post. Because Mckayla’s post is public, she assumed her older sister could see the post and, subsequently, her messages with her other siblings.

“My twin sister was texting me, saying, ‘Yeah, she’s holding your photos.’ She didn’t like that,” Mckayla said. She alleged that her twin sister was being manipulative and trying to play both sides. “Some people would call it people-pleasing. No, she’s manipulative. She’s a snake,” she added.

Mckayla further alleged that after she posted the TikTok, her twin responded rudely in the family group chat. Although her twin tried apologizing, Mckayla said she wouldn’t delete the storytimes. Because of their disagreement, they went on no contact. Meanwhile, Mckayla claimed her other siblings also decided to cut contact with her, saying it wasn’t her choice but theirs. Not all relationships are forever, and even this woman from Atlanta was cut off by a best friend she bought a Jeep for after a moral altercation.
