Boston Woman Flees to a Vacation Home To Escape Her Scary Ex. The Next Morning She Comes Back From Breakfast and a Car Shows Up: ‘I Am Frantic’
Some relationship stories do not end with the breakup. On TikTok, creators are revisiting those experiences one chapter at a time, giving viewers a fuller picture of what happened.
That is the case with TikTok creator Scarlet @chronicallygirl, who recently uploaded the third part of her “Scary Ex” series. The video begins with a brief look back before introducing another experience that she says pushed her closer to ending the relationship.
It would eventually lead her to leave home in search of somewhere she felt safe. But the day, she says, was far from over.
She says that’s when everything changed
The TikToker begins by reminding viewers that she had already tried to end the relationship once before. She references an earlier episode she calls the “cinnamon apple candle” story, saying that previous attempt failed after her former boyfriend threatened to take his own life.
She says more concerns surfaced as the relationship continued. She learned he had lied about his age, having a son and an ex-wife, and had also been unfaithful.
Things became even more unsettling after she met his closest friend. During a dinner, she says the friend’s girlfriend casually explained how the two first met. “Scary ex was his coach when he was in high school.”
She says that revelation immediately raised concerns because she had already seen threatening messages connected to allegations involving underage girls. Wanting answers, she decided to attend one of her former boyfriend’s court hearings.
She recalls that the courtroom was initially open to the public before a lawyer asked the judge to close the hearing because it involved a minor and graphic subject matter. “I immediately start crying.”
Everyone was asked to leave while the hearing continued behind closed doors. She says the experience left her deeply shaken, even though her former boyfriend insisted the allegations against him were false.
The video does not identify the court case or include any court records. The allegations mentioned in the video have not been independently verified.
After the hearing, she chose not to return home. Instead, she packed a bag, took her elderly dog, and went to her mother’s house to figure out how to safely end the relationship.
She says her mother was unconvinced by her concerns. “women are crazy. And you can’t believe what his ex wife is saying. She’s an ex wife for a reason.” A short time later, she says she heard a car pull into the driveway. It was her former boyfriend.
The TikToker says she begged her mother not to let him inside while texting both her mother and her ex, asking for space. After he eventually left, she decided she no longer felt comfortable staying there.
She says a family friend let her stay at a vacation home on Cape Cod, where she spent the night worrying he might find her. The next morning, she took her dog into town for breakfast before returning to the house.
Then, she says, another surprise was waiting. “I drive back to the Cape House, and there’s a car in the driveway.” The video ends there without revealing who was in the car.
Viewers quickly filled the comments with reactions. Many focused on the creator’s mother’s actions rather than the cliffhanger itself. One person wrote, “would literally never speak to my mother again,” while another commented, “UR MOM??? I’m astounded.”
Others expressed support for the TikToker, with one writing, “girl you have been through a lot and it may be weird for some stranger to say this but I’m proud of you.”
Similar stories have surfaced on TikTok before. One London woman recently shared how her first boyfriend unexpectedly contacted her 10 years after their breakup, prompting thousands of reactions online. Another creator also went viral after saying she came to believe her ex-husband may have tried to poison her, encouraging viewers to trust their instincts.
