Don’t be fooled by the beginning of this Russian trailer for Jungle Book; yes, it looks exactly the same as the beginning of the American trailer featuring Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, but there’s a lot more footage packed into this longer version. Unlike that other trailer, this one lets us get a longer look at several of the other characters, such as Baloo (who’ll be voiced by Bill Murray), Raksha (voiced by Lupita Nyong’o) and King Louie (voiced by Christopher Walken). The tiger and the panther, who appeared briefly in the other trailer also, have to be Shere Khan and Bagheera (voiced by Idris Elba and Ben Kingsley, respectively).
Some of the CGI in the trailer still looks like it needs an extra pass or two, but many of the animals do look surprisingly realistic. It sure will be weird to hear the star-studded cast speaking through them all. What do you think? Does this look cool or weird (or both)?
