You’re likely seeing lots and lots of unique Jack O’Lanterns around your neighborhood and the internet as Halloween approaches. Looking for a unique, geeky, and not-too-fussy design that’ll impress your neighbors, but won’t require you to unrealistically perfect precision? Well, look no further.
Cartoon Network has uploaded a DIY video that teaches you how to make your own Pumpkin Pupper from Steven Universe. All it requires is a pumpkin, a paper cutter (be careful, and if you’re a little one maybe consider using a marker instead), green felt, clay, and some paint. The result is an adorable, perfect friend to go with your Steven Universe costume. (A cute variation could also be Pumpkin-as-Pearl with a party hat over its nose!)
Unfortunately, without bestowing life upon your pumpkin it will inevitably start to decay. Lifehacker has some tips on keeping your pumpkin from getting mushy and rotten as long as possible. And I know, I know. This is basically what you’re doing:
