Princes William and Harry to Keep John Boyega Under Royal Guard in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Recommended Videos

Star Wars: The Force Awakens was full of random cameos under all that stormtrooper armor, including the likes of Daniel Craig and Kevin Smith. It seems that this tradition will continue into Star Wars: The Last Jedi with a couple of royal stand-ins.

The U.K’s Princes William and Harry will be joined by actor Tom Hardy and Take That singer Gary Barlow as stormtroopers in a scene in the upcoming Star Wars film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, not only will they all be in the film, but they’ll all be in the same scene! The four will be seen guarding John Boyega, A.K.A. Finn, in an elevator. That’s gotta be some kinda record for famous stormtroopers in one scene, right?

During an interview as part of a THR Actor Roundtable, Boyega enthused about the scene, and said he had a lot of fun doing it, calling it “a great experience.” He also laughed and remarked that the group made for a “strange contrast of a weird family” and called the juxtaposition of royals and entertainers from his home country “the best of both worlds for me.”

While this is very cool info, I’m kinda sorry we’re hearing about it this early. Finding out about Daniel Craig or Kevin Smith after seeing the film made going back to see it extra fun. Now, I’ll be looking for this particular scene when I go in, which will be at least a little bit distracting.

Not so distracting that I won’t wanna see the movie, mind you. But distracting.

If you had a choice, who’d you like to know was under some of that stormtrooper armor? What cameos would you love to hear about? Tell us in the comments below!
