Paul Rudd IS the Sexiest Man Alive and Yeah, We Know

Like this is a secret?

When in doubt, we can always count on People’s Sexiest Man Alive to either upset us all or make us happy. This year, we get to celebrate their choice, as People put Scott Lang/Josh/Dave/Bobby Newport himself, Paul Rudd, on their cover! The Ant-Man star nabbed his first cover of the coveted title this year, and honestly, it’s about time.

But Paul Rudd making the cut does make a bit of a change because he’s a bit of an offbeat choice not because he’s not attractive, but because the majority of us are in love with Rudd because of his sense of humor and personality as well as his pretty eyes. It’s not often (if ever?) that one of our favorite goofballs lands the award, no matter how much he refuses to age.

Look, if we started to do the Sexiest Man Alive more in this way, we can embrace the attractive pull of people’s other qualities, and I think the world might be better for it. But Paul Rudd is our favorite never-aging hunk, and it is just right that he’s on the cover.

Twitter loves Paul Rudd

When the news broke in the middle of the night, Twitter took to praising the choice, excited to see Paul Rudd on the cover.

Congratulations to our favorite vampire, Paul Rudd! May you continue to never age and remain our fave. In honor of Paul Rudd being the Sexiest Man Alive, let’s remember his iconic final moments on Hot Ones.
