Ommegang’s Latest Game of Thrones Beer Is Much Better Than Paste

The beer is dark and full of... holy shit I drank it all.

An artist’s interpretation of me drinking Ommegang’s latest Game of Thrones beer, Three-Eyed Raven.

Ok, the beer actually looks like this. I still look like Catbug, for the record.

As I’ve said in the past with my Game of Thrones/Ommegang beer reviews, I’m not very good at describing taste specifics, which is why I’ve posted the image above.

What I can say is I found it delicious. The press release says it’s a “Dark Saison ale, a hybrid style open to brewer’s stylistic interpretation. In the end it is neither a pure saison nor your typical dark beer, but instead a delectable blend that both deceives and thrills the senses.”

I don’t think I’ve ever had a dark saison before but seeing how dark the beer was, I expected it to be thick but it was quite the opposite. It was super smooth and tasty! I was sent two bottles for review purposes but I’ll definitely be seeking this one out on my own.

And just slightly creepy staring at this guy on the label while I drank.

Three-Eyed Raven is available now.
