He lied about being from Florida, faked a car accident, and kept contact with his ex-fiancée. She still married him anyway: ‘I’ve learned my lesson’
He couldn't stop lying, but she still married him anyway.

From the start, Taylor (@taylorneedswhiskey) said the man she was dating had lied about the small details of his life. Despite hearing lie after lie, she married him and didn’t leave him for good until later.
“I married a pathological liar, and now I’m going through a divorce. And I thought, what better way to heal than to come on here and share some of the crazy stories and lies that he’s told me?” Taylor told TikTok. When she and her husband started talking, Taylor alleged that he told her he was born and raised in Florida. She said it wasn’t true, and she later found out he’s from New Jersey.
When they met on Tinder in 2018, Taylor told him she wasn’t into younger men. Although she wasn’t after someone significantly older, Taylor said she wanted someone around her age. Taylor was only 19 at the time, and he allegedly told her that he was older. But when they met, she found his military document in the cup holder. She learned he was also only 19. Despite these lies, Taylor dismissed it as harmless.
“His reasoning behind it was because I said I was never going to date younger guys. So, that’s why he felt the need to lie,” Taylor added. But the lies didn’t stop there; the next one was graver than the previous two. Taylor said she had a family trip planned to her parents’ beach house. She was supposed to go with him, who was her boyfriend at the time. Initially, Taylor said he seemed excited, and the trip was supposed to run from Saturday through Sunday.
Caught in another lie
When Friday rolled around, Taylor went to her parents’ house. He was still at the barracks, and she texted him about the trip. The day passed, and by 9:00 p.m., she decided to check on him. He finally replied and allegedly texted back, “My mom and sister were in a horrible car accident. I have to go to Jersey to be with them.” At first, Taylor understood and let him go to New Jersey. Later that evening, she checked his Snapchat location to see if he made it home to New Jersey safely.
“When I check the location, he is walking on a beach. Now, I didn’t know their family dynamic. I didn’t know if that’s where he lived,” she clarified. However, she later made a discovery. Taylor alleged, “Little did I know, he actually stopped and bought a bouquet of flowers, and he was walking on the beach with his ex-fiancée.” But he wasn’t the only man with many secrets to keep. Another woman thought she knew his boyfriend of four years, only to discover he was married and had several other girlfriends.
Regardless, Taylor later received a message from her boyfriend saying he would buy her a plane ticket to New Jersey so she could fly out and meet his family. She agreed and flew to Newark to meet his family. Taylor asked him if his sister and mother were really in a car accident, and he allegedly stuck to the story. She added, “He even got his mom on FaceTime with me to tell me she was in a car accident. They got the little sister walking around with a little wrist brace, too.” She almost believed it until her boyfriend’s little sister told her the truth.
As Taylor unpacked her bag, the sister allegedly told her they weren’t in a car accident. Taylor had her suspicions, and she told the sister what she thought. When her boyfriend walked in and asked what was wrong, Taylor tried to confront her. He allegedly got his mother, and she got up close to Taylor and started talking loudly. The woman allegedly told Taylor not to listen to their daughter.
“I felt so uncomfortable,” Taylor said. Only when they finally got married did he allegedly confirm that the car accident was a lie. Taylor said the car accident photo he sent her wasn’t his mother and sister’s, but his aunt’s.
She married him anyway
After the trip, she and her boyfriend drove back from New Jersey to North Carolina. It was a long drive, and on the way home, she noticed that a “certain” Ryan kept texting him. Her boyfriend said it was just a friend, but Taylor decided to go through his phone anyway. Unlike this woman who found a “little RuPaul” in her husband’s phone, Taylor alleged that he was texting a woman. In particular, he was allegedly texting his ex-fiancée.
They made a pit stop in Virginia at a local Sheetz. She was still going through his phone when he asked for it back. He allegedly said he just needed to call his dad, so Taylor surrendered it. When he emerged from the Sheetz, she claimed that he had wiped his phone clean. It seemed like the last straw for Taylor, and she decided to stay in Virginia and ask her parents to pick her up. However, after he pleaded with her to get back in the car, she still went home with him to North Carolina.
Taylor confessed that she still ended up marrying him. “I’ve learned my lesson. I’m getting a divorce,” she said, asking people not to give her more flak about her decisions.
